They are said to be more for decoration than performance improvement.

Yup i wanted MSD coils when I did my bolton's upgrades and all the gurus i ordered said, no need for that MSD coils ... Better spend your money on other upgrades, so I bought a UnderDrive Pulley

The Accel unit is basically a stock replacement, MSDs are overkill unless the motor is built to need them.

yep ... MSD's were only showing an improvement when you did, say .. force induction. otherwise its just for looks.

Those coils mounted on the valve covers sure look awesome though! IMHO, aesthetics means something on such a beautiful motorcycle. Sure it doesn't offer an obvious before and after dyno run results for many riders. So what, they LOOK AWESOME. If I had the money to spend on them, I'd order them without question.

Looks do count for something. I don’t have the MSD’s but I wouldn’t mind getting them.

I was thinking the same thing. A stock replacement + is OK with me. I remember keith had some on his Viz and it looked really good.

Why would you want to warn your adversary?

To late for that isn't it? Didn't HC change the cheese wedge badges already?

Ya reckon red leads will scare 'em off?....wedges have 116 on em , but we are metric here...measly 116cc's
I just want optimum spark , but my guess is HC's already got decent plug leads on it.
    This bike is teaching me one thing...P A T I E N C E
