Do the O2 sensors need to be pulled prior to removing the stock exhaust system in order to have the required clearance to remove the headers? It seem that disconnecting the O2 sensor wires and then pulling them after the headers are off the bike would be easier, but I would like to be sure prior to getting the stock system loose. And yeah I plan on running a new system with the O2 sensors so I'm not looking for advice about that. Thanks....2016 Hammer S

I had to remove the sensers before the pipes.

Agree...the rear one looks easy...but how did you get to the front sensor?

Either an O2 senser socket or crows foot. I used a crows foot.

Pulled both sensors. The front sensor is accessed by pulling the top bolt from the oil cooler and moving the cooler toward the left side of the bike. The hard part in the exhaust removal was separating the rear header assembly from the front header. I had to pry between the pipe covers which ruin the stock exhaust, but I don't plan on ever putting it back on.

Yeah separating those sucked. I used penetrating oil to help.
