Neat story. But at 100 and struggling mightily to ride a Goldwing. Get a bike half this weight, many options. I would get the Honda Ctx 700 dct to make riding much easier. I know a old timer around me that is still riding at 87 and over 10 k miles a year. He got rid of his Harley's and bought the suggested Honda. He misses his Harleys, but likes being out in the wind more. Anyway lots of options, and hope he goes for many years to come.
My Dad still rode till his 90th birthday- (on a Yamaha/Star 650)- but was starting to make little judgement and timing errors. Sadly had to take bike away. He almost made 98, and missed riding right to the end. He rode on the back of my brother's bikes a couple of times- but it just didn't give him the thrill...
At almost 59 I sometimes wonder about making it to 70 , but riding at 100 is amazing.
I do have a small project on the go , I'm restoring a 63 Vespa, I figure I should be able to handle that.
