Always follow the Yuasa battery directions for putting the new battery into service. Add electrolyte, wait two hours, then charge the 20Ah battery for 5-10 hours at a Min of 1.8 amps. A Battery Tender is only 1.25 amps and is not sufficient to put a new battery into service. They’re designed to keep a battery in service, not to put one into service.

I just did this last week for the new Yuasa battery I installed in the Hard-Ball. Properly putting a new battery into service is a vital step to prolonged battery life.

I'm thinking it's just the cables getting loose after a few thousand miles or so.
That tends to happen, use star washers to slow it down so only have to retighten every other oil change

I got a new battery in the summer, ride quite a bit so rarely put on a tender- when I do it shows that the battery is full. Today it did nothing, no clicks or anything and the tender shows it's full- any ideas?? I put lock washers on the terminal bolts.
Speed Test
Thx in advance!
Make sure those connections are tight as well as the ground from the battery to the bike.

Motorcycle school says if you check in a bike...run this quick test. Turn on the lights and hit the brake. If bat volt drops more than one volt suspect battery trouble. Theres also a test for checking starter amp draw. If its drawing too much then the starter is old and needs replaced soon. So that can screw with a battery too. DO NOT TRUST THE BACK ORDER BS! They are lazy lieing to you. They are just checking thier ordering system...no where else....even if they are a Yuasa dealer. Look somewhere else and NEVER NEVER buy anything else than a Yuasa. :attention::cus2::rocket:

Have been buying Yuasa batteries since 08, the Sabre days. Never had any trouble with them. Even bought one ahead and kept it a year before putting into service. No sweat, because the acid was separate. Just charge it, then charge it, then install.
