Only a bit sad that you sold the Vegast a couple of months before I sold my Obi land, otherwise it would be wearing High Ball bars and living at the old school. Still, the low mileage High Ball I bought is helping make up for that, particularly when I look at the flames and the red rims.

And probably getting ridden more than it does by a FIFO worker.
Haven't heard from the local guy since the sale.
I better check he's ok that bike could be a handful for someone coming from a 750 Shadow Honda

    FAST COMPANY.
Out riding tonight, headed up the glitter strip towards Surfers Paradise, ....app told me cheaper Premium fuel at Broadbeach...
Get there and the petrol station has been pulled down!
    Right next door to Maccas
(Mc Donald's in Aussie) , so I pull into the parking lot right next to a tough looking '69 Camaro.
Thought I'd snap a few pix of it alongside Ol' Yella.
Camaro runnin' a 502 Big Block.
Owner walks out, I complement him on his car, he reciprocates with comment on the Kingpin.
Chat cars n bikes fora few mins then he fires his beast up and Rump-Rumps out onto the road, then hits it!
Another night on the Gold Coast Australia.
Got my Dodge legal on the road today too, and sold one of my Subarus.
    Big Day..
    Oh yeah the pix! IMG20210812214248.jpg IMG20210812214218.jpg IMG20210812214202.jpg IMG20210811151348.jpg IMG20210811151328.jpg

Took this shot yesterday outside the joint that sells foam, gonna have a crack at some upholstery on parcel shelf and dash...basic stuff,,why not?
Looking at this pic in hindsight it probably shows off the car to it's best.
The lighting and shadows and the fence has the lockdown image to it.
    A bit of dark humour!

Went out for a nice slice of Freedom yesterday, afternoon run up Springbrook, Advancetown, Beechmont to Canungra, all mountain curves and valleys.
    For fish n chips......
On return I decided to go the long way and retrace our tracks
Heading uphill on a mountain road a pigeon came outta left field straight into us....or rather the bike.
Wouldn't you think a bloody pidgeon would've seen a loud yellow bike???
Bastard bird slammed into the left front indicator and then into the tank!

I pulled over onto the dirt verge to fix the indicator by pushing it back on(XC indicators) easy fix
Then I saw the dent about an inch across with corresponding slight highs around it.
Bloody pidgeons must have strong bloody skulls!
Just as well it didn't hit my or my partner's heads I reckon.
    Bloody wildlife!
My lady said, wonder if it's dead??
I said if it's not I'll kick the bastard to death myself...
    **** happens.
    I'm over it now.
    Coulda been far worse..
    Pic???? .....ok
Looks like his beak chipped the paint slightly too on closer inspection. IMG20210830174256.jpg 16303797870462834383951734181111.jpg

I would think the bird would explode before making a dent like that. You sure it wasn't already there?

Yeah a bird in the face at 90mph plus my 40 mph =130mph impact, now maybe the bird wasn't flying flat out but it hit Hard!
As for the ding, I can live with it and it's an excellent conversation starter.
Wouldn't want to disturb the inner tank liner any more than it may be.
A suitable sticker over it maybe✌️

    Hmmm.
No reflectors on the Kingpin but plenty chrome.
You really think it was a premeditated attack?
I presumed I was in right place at wrong time.

A bit like the impressions of both my nuts in the back of my Sportsters tank.
