Hello all, newer Vision owner, two XCT's in my past also. Taking down my vision over the winter here in Chicago for some new paint, touching up and other maintenance and contemplating a XC bag conversion...but want to keep the vision taillight, not a full XC conversion. Anyone got experience in anything like this? Or other bags that can fit more than a lunch in it

I'm no expert with the vision because I don't have one but I don't know if it'll be possible really to put the XC bags on with the rear end remaining. And honestly, if you could, I think it wouldn't look very good. just my 2 cents. Could probably set a couple side by side if you know someone still with the XC and I think you can see what I am seeing in my head.

I've never seen it done. They are large and I think you will simply not have the room needed to keep the lights.

I'm also with PDX and can't imagine it looking great if it was done. I do love the XC conversion. Even the HD bags don't look terrible.

That's interesting. I've never seen it. Seems to look good judging off of just that picture.

This was a random post I found, know there has to be a good amount to go with it. Just trying to figure it out if worth it or just go for the full XC conversion. I do like this though. I'm a tech, but not for body work haha

I've been here a fairly long time and honestly do not recall ever seeing such a thing. If you go for it certainly keep us in the loop.

I think my biggest hurdle will be mounting the bags, everything else I have a couple friends that do body work and paint. I see a bunch of beer and pizza purchases iny future ha

There's some fabrication involved in that setup. Those rear panels are custom I think. I'd try to find the guy that owns that bike and figure out where to get the parts. I'm betting it's a $4k conversion. Personally, I think it looks good.

If you want the traditional changeover to XC bags, HMD520 has a kit.

they also might know how feasible it is for what you want and showed in that pic.

That does look like an HMD 520 set up. Mike has always been into the conversion process heavily and has done some awesome Looking Visions.

Well that could look pretty good but I have never seen this before. I'm gonna need a complete walk-around set of pics for me to decide if I actually like it. Seems to me there is going to be considerable fabrication involved to do this. I have never seen cross bags on an actual Vision tail section.

the punisher tail is what I was referring to in my earlier post about “standard CC conversion”. It does not retain the vision tail like the OP is inquiring about.

Btw - I nicknamed my Vision J-Lo because of her fat a$$, but the CC bags with the Vision tail makes mine look like Paris Hilton.

I had actually just emailed them yesterday about it. i have looked into their stuff. I'm hoping they may have some insight into it myself.
