No HC, I probably should have said is piston pin height the same in the two pistons, center of pin ,to top of piston. If you mean is it a single pin crank ,
the answer is yes.
I have no idea... I know the rods are different lengths. No HC, I probably should have said is piston pin height the same in the two pistons, center of pin ,to top of piston.
Ummm... no.Thanks, do you know anyone that has both pistons on hand and could measure them for me?
I can get some 5 over 106 pistons and resleeve with cast iron and come up with approx 107 or 108 c.i.Ummm... no.
Why do you need to know?
Not really, thanksCall Lloydz...I'm sure he would be glad to help you out...
Are you sure about that math?I can get some 5 over 106 pistons and resleeve with cast iron and come up with approx 107 or 108 c.i.
No, now that you mention it, I'm not sure about the math, I'll check again tomorrow, the guy said 5 over and my mind said 5mm over, that's good , then right away I stated thinking about pin height. Senior moment !Are you sure about that math?
5 what over? 5 thousandths? That's 1/12th of a mm.
Stock bore is 101mm on a 100" engine.
A 104" is 103mm bore (78 thousandths over stock).
A 109" is 105mm bore (157 thousandths over stock).
Usually pistons come .030" over (3/4 of a mm) or .060" over (1-1/2 mm).No, now that you mention it, I'm not sure about the math, I'll check again tomorrow, the guy said 5 over and my mind said 5mm over, that's good , then right away I stated thinking about pin height. Senior moment !
Too much confusion with inches and mm's yesterday. The pistons are 105 mm and I want to sleeve and bore my present cylinders to make a 109 c.i. motor, and I have been told it can be done but watch TDC tolerances.Usually pistons come .030" over (3/4 of a mm) or .060" over (1-1/2 mm).
Out of curiosity, what are these pistons? Wiseco forged? Something from an Indian?Too much confusion with inches and mm's yesterday. The pistons are 105 mm and I want to sleeve and bore my present cylinders to make a 109 c.i. motor, and I have been told it can be done but watch TDC tolerances.
