So far the only successful lowering has been done by taking off the mounts and having them shortened by a machine shop. That involves cutting, welding and painting.

I was able to get it done about a month ago. There are some tricks to it (mount removal, etc.), but it's not at the top of the difficulty scale. I did have some help with welding the aluminum. Most say that 2" is too much. I cut them 1", but wish I had gone for 1 1/2"
