Hi guys. I am back again with more frustrations and dumb questions. I REALLY need some help so anyone that chimes in I would really appreciate.
I came to my garage yesterday to do an oil change and realized that my side cover must've come flying off on the freeway. Not sure why but now the check engine light is on. So obviously I need a new one. I spent about 20 minutes searching for a part and I'm already frustrated!

I know I bought a discontinued bike and that parts would be a hassle. But this is becoming a nightmare. Ebay just gives me a side cover for any bike, and google isn't very helpful either. I'm sure it's an overpriced piece. But I can't even find it.

In addition to that, I've been searching for a passenger seat/ sissy bar/ luggage rack/ footpeg setup and have come up completely empty time and time again. I can't find this setup. I can't find someone who can recommend a good setup. In fact, I have asked 3 different forums and the best answer I've gotten is to look on a Facebook group.Which I did, but was immediately locked out of the group and locked out of Facebook. TWICE. I did nothing with the FB account but look for parts. This is turning into a royal pain in the ass. I love this bike and I just want to keep it cherry. DOES ANYONE HAVE A PASSENGER SETUP LIKE THIS??? I am sure there are Vic riders with girlfriends and wives that like to ride. I have had 3 different hotties lose faith in me because I can't track down a passenger seat. I mean, come on. Was it like this when Victory was open? I'm not asking for complex stuff.

    Can someone please help?

I can't imagine the side cover has anything to do with the engine light. I'm guessing you are looking for parts for a steel frame based on what your looking for?

Might help if you posted what the bike is. Your profile only says 2017 8 Ball

also would be good to know what part of the country you are in. There are some Vic shops that sell parts (or can get them ordered) and there are also some salvage yards around.

Which model do you have ?

8 ball is the trim type ...not the model.

ok. And where are you located? Would help to update your profile.

here’s a site for OEM parts. You can find your cover here. If not available you can at least get the part number. Is it left or right side?

awesome man thank you. I have come across these items in the past an I'm not sure if they fit or what? I on't really trust these ebay items. They say it's for a Vegas and when I check compatibility it says, does not fit. Are there BRACKETS that will attach the pegs? The sissy pad is great! is there a seat that goes with it? Hesitant to toss money at an incomplete setup that doesn't fit.

Thank you. This is why I keep coming back here. Is theer a way to secure these side covers down? Not psyched about dropping 400 on a hunk of plastic that is meant to come loose.

Buy a new set of grommets. If you're really paranoid drill a small hole in the side cover where it's inconspicuous and zip tie it to the bike. Keep checking ebay, bikestrippers, TD cycles out of CO. Pinwall are good places to start.

All good suggestions. Mine would be to go back in time and have Victory make bike parts that don't fall off. I love this bike but I already hate the company.

They don't fall off if they're snapped on securely. You can hear them pop into the grommets when they're pushed on all the way, then give them a little tug to double check. If the grommets aren't holding securely they're worn out and need replacing. If you can't find new grommets, NAPA auto parts carries them.

You can also give Mickey Cohen a call...I think they did Vic work in the past (not sure, never used them), but they are in your area and might be able to help out.

Also, sorry to hear you are having trubs with your Vic. These are great bikes, but admittedly Polaris never supported them like they should have.
