2013 CCT - I would like to paint the backside of the clear air management deflectors that are mounted on the bottom of the fairing. Anyone know how to remove the clear moveable deflectors from the mounting brackets? I'd really like to clean them well before painting rather than doing a half-assed job.
    Thanks.

To remove the clear deflector from the black mounting bracket , the pivot pins are 2 piece. One price comes in from the top, the other pushes in from the bottom. If you look closely, you should see a half moon on the bottom of the pivot. Use a small punch or screw driver and gently tap the moon in towards the pivot. It should move pretty easy. Once you get one side out ,the other half should pull out by hand in from the other direction. I believe the removable pin will be on the bottom pivot if the deflectors are still mounted on your bike. The other pivot is a fixed pin. The deflector will slide up and off once you remove the pin. Good luck.

I had a set smoked out! Turned out great but one thing to remember if it's the new ones you can't just paint over them. You may have to strip that film off of them first and then paint. I'm sure you know about the painting portion though. Just my two cents.

That looks great. Been contemplating doing the same thing. Looks like you've pushed me over the edge.

I painted mine gloss black when I had the CCT, looked much better then the plexiglass coz of the ugly bend in them

Also I lost one of the plastic plugs so I replaced them with stainless steel bolt and locknut that fitted inside that plastic thingy

Is it just the deflectors or do they also require a bracket? Is only thing my xct was missing.

I actually just bought a new set on eBay. They were asking $260 and I got it for $200.

I put vinyl tape over mine. I thought they looked good until I found this thread.
I’m going to try plastic dip next because even though you guys have shamed me, I’m still lazy.

@slickvic I posted this on another thread, but figured I’d post here as well. I spoke to Witchdoctors and they said they can order these directly from Polaris, which typically takes 5-7 days. Right now the price on their website is $84.99/each.
My eBay deal fell through so I ordered these from Witchdoctors. They just so happened to have one set sitting in the shelf.
