Stopped by OCC today saw a group of stuntmen riding sport bikes very impressive but I would never try the stunts these guys were doing. Was mad at myself for not bringing the camera

I saw the first episodes of season 6 today. In what season did they move to the new building in this photo?
Anyway, looks like the crisis is biting them in the ass pretty hard. As was to be expected. He should look into expanding to the emirates. They love anything shiny and blingy there, could do good business.
Anyway, still... Great respect to Sr. and his business and happy 10th anniversary. Going international with only 10 years, not bad.
And they finally made some bikes I'm actually starting to like, as a bike...

Not sure on the season but the Grand Opening was last Year. I was there it was a good time. I'm pretty sure Paul Sr makes more off of T-Shirts and other products than on Bikes but he just put Ducati in his showroom.

With the price of oil at a low point, the economy in the UAE has come to a screeching halt just over the past few months. This is evidenced by the sudden halting of construction of numerous high rise condos and hotels in midstream.

The economy in the UAE is based on the price of oil. When oil was prices at $140 per barrel, they were swimming in $$$. With the price of oil around $40 per barrel, the economy in the once flourishing UAE is not what it was just a few short months ago.

Well, that could be one of those beefed up dealerstories ;) But there might be some truth to it. He did go to the UK.
I can also understand why triumph would be hesitant to connect their name to the 'teutuls'. It's not exactly the image they're going for. Although the 'new classic' series would be right at home in that environment.
But as a whole, triumph has always had a slighty different image compared to the chopper crowd. In fact, the opposite, really. In Europe anyway.
Customers at occ are wealthy enough. The idea behind this might be that an occ customer wants to offer himselve a little extra to go with a custom chopper. What's 10k dollar compared to what they pay occ for the chopper. An extra toy for some different kicks. Occ clients are extravagant by nature, and that's also an image assiociated with ducati.
It's about expanding your audience. What 25 year old with a lot of cash on his hands would want a traditional chopper. A custom painted ducati out of an occ shop on the other hand?
Oh well, they want to expand into Europe. But there's a lot of regulation involved. I don't know whether they will make it. Every bike has to have FI (a first for occ), no sharp edges (fenders...), some type of sensors in the exhaust, max sound requirement, ...
@Andy: correct. I assumed they wouldn't have lost their entire fortune on it (and they didn't). They bought themselves into every major economy in the world. China and saudi arabia practically own the USA. But then again, if they want a chopper, they could fly one over from NY easily. One of those sjeiks charters a plane to get his lambo back to italy for major services. So go figure :p

I would also like to recommend Generic Viagra for people like myself that have intimacy issues.
