I need to replace my original 2007 Ness Jackpot tires already (7K miles). Although I love the look of the 250 rear tire I do find it more of a chore to pull around on the twisties in Northern AZ. So I was looking at the Metzler's which have a more rounded rear tire profile. What do people think of Metzler vs. Avon vs. the OEM? Any thoughts please?

Anything other than those frickin' Dunlops. I would go with the Metzelers personally.

I have to agree, I switched to the Metzler ME 880 it is a 260 as they do not offer a 250, but you can't even notice the difference. Or they offer a 240 if you like.
I did however notice that the bike seemed softer to ride, the tire seems not as stiff as the Dunlop.

I got rid of the Avons & switched to the Metzlers & went up to a 180 rear on the Vegas & love it. I have twice the mileage on metzler 880's versus the Avon.

Nothing but Metzeler ME880's for my Jackpot. I have the 280mm on the rear and the 90/90 on the front.

Yep.....I had a 10.5" wheel made to replace my 8.5" stock wheel.
