:001_smile:Being a former sport bike rider..... wow I can't believe how quick and easy an oil change is on the Pin.... I love it I don't want to open a big ol can o worms but decided to stay with Rotella full syn. I had always used it on my Honda and never had a lick of trouble. Hope the Vic likes it too.
Changing oil is a real bonding moment. It's easy to do and the bike is better for it, regadless which oil one uses. I think I'll change the oil in mine today.
Vic Pin oil change I've got an 09 Pin and love it as well. Heard good things from Harley guys about Rotella. This is probably a stupid question but: what kind of Rotella are you using? Is it the same stuff you'd use in a car? I'd like to get as many miles out of my Pin as possible with a pure synthetic. I do my own oil changes also. Easy Peezy! Just really don't know the difference between 'car' and motorcycle types of oil.
I use the blue bottle full Syn. Its available at most Autozones and the like and i think even Wally world may have it. I usually pay $20-$25 for the bottle. It is actually Diesel oil. It meets all the requirements for most bikes including ones with a wet clutch. I usually change my oil on my bikes every 1000-1500 miles. Cheers!

Rotella T6 (blue bottle) is a 5W-40 Diesel oil that is also JASA MA certified meaning it should be fine with a motorcycle wet clutch. http://www.shell.com/home/content/rotella/products/t6/ The jury is still out whether it will cause issues with the Victory wet clutch as it seems to be sensitive to oil type. IMHO T6 won't be a problem but I haven't used it so I can't say for sure.
Compared to what, a Goldwing  Having to remove the gas tank to change the air filter isn't exactly what I would call easy but it's certainly not the all afternoon exercise you go through on a Wing.

On the steel frame bikes it's easier to change the air filter than removing the oil filter. Victory made ease of maintenance part of their design, and I appreciate it.
