Hi all,

I posted a similar message over at VictoryForums.com.

Rode my Cross Roads off the lot yesterday and just wanted to take a moment to say hello. The only immediate modification I made was the addition of the Ness exhaust. Very nice tone.

I'm coming off an HD Sportster 1200 Low. Love that bike, but I was getting beat up on the highway. When I first bought it, I had a scant 3-mile, all-surface-road commute to work in downtown Salt Lake City. But last fall I moved to Park City. Now, my commute is 35 miles one way, dropping from nearly 8000 feet in elevation to 4500 feet, over Parley's Summit on some very windy and curvy roads.

In just a couple of days and a couple hundred miles, I can tell you that riding the Cross Roads over this is a dream. The difference is night and day.

Looking forward to getting more insight from everyone. And if you're in or riding through northern Utah, let me know and we'll go for a ride.

Cheers,
Dave

Welcome from Clearfield Ut. I am still waiting for my 2011 CrossRoads to come in (hopefully this week); I decided on it after a test ride up to Park City. Did you get a 2010 or 11?

Welcome to the VOG. I was just in your fine City today as I spent the entire day at a Federal Highway DOT meeting.......they worked, I just checked out the scenery. What a great place and you are correct, the roads getting up and back are pretty cool.
Show us some pics with those mountains in the background.

Thanks for the welcome all. Only shot I've snapped so far is a cameraphone image with no mountain scenery--been too busy riding it.

It's the Midnight Cherry 2010 model. In fact, it was the area rep's demo--bought it with 1800 miles on it, but they took $3,400 off of the MSRP, threw in the saddlebag liners and a couple other goodies, did a full service, and started the two-year warranty on day of sale. So, I feel like I made out pretty well.

Will try and get some mountain images up in the coming while. Very fun roads out this way.

Cheers.

That's a really good deal! I finally got mine yesterday; according to the dealer I am the lucky owner of the first 2011 sold it Utah. Picture is a little large to show the color off.

Took the windshield off for a daytrip today. She's still all stock, save for the Arlen Ness exhaust and the Vic passenger backrest you can see. Those are the Park City mountain resorts (Wasatch range) in the background.
