So not sure what's up. I bought this bike a couple weeks ago and when its working I couldn't be happier. The bike only has 30,000km on it. Was having some surging and sometimes just die all together. So talking to people I was told that it was likely a TPS. I replaced my TPS and bike (2000 V92sc) runs fantastic at cruising speeds. But at low speed in town with throttle at like 1/8th it's seems to surge a bit. It's idling very rough as well, will snap and pop like crazy as well when wet. At least I notice it when it's wet. I've used methyl hydrate to eliminate any possibility of water in the tank. But like |I say the thing will barley idle in the driveway and it's super annoying to sit at lights revving the bike like a new motorcycle owner just to keep it running.

PLEASE HELP ME..... oh and to make it worse all I'm getting from the wife is "Should have kept the old one"

Video of it running will trying the TPS relearn process with jumpers on pins B&E

First thought is on cyl is running harder than the other.
That would mean it needs the throttle bodies balanced. And if this model has the screw that adjusts the throttle plates between the throttle bodies, I bet someone was messing with it...
Not sure if there was a cleaning issue with the throttle bodies on that year. As that could be the issue also.
You could also be looking at an air leak on one of the intakes.
I can hear one cyl barely running at idle. And you say it seems ok while riding.
    So defiantly a tuning issue.
If your not into tuning a motorcycle you should take it to a dealer.

Your not that far from me. I would like a crack at fixing it. I have a feeling it's nothing major....
    Where in NB are you?

Im in Monton, was trying to avoid the dealer as they want all kinds of money lol.

only thing I can see that is off is that there are 2 brass fittings coming off the side of the TB with no lines or rubber caps on them?

Hang in there you'll get it. Somebody on here will be able to help you. Check the rubber connectors on the throttle bodies they may be old and cracked and leaking.

What happens if you put your finger on them when running?

those should have rubber caps on them. you probably have a vacuum leak. also when was the last time the throttle body was cleaned? one more thing you can check is the hose from the crank case to the air filter housing. make sure it's not cracked or has a hole in it.

I will try capping them with something and see what happens.

So this is what I'm dealing with today. Again. Fine at the higher speeds but real bad at low speeds.

Does it have 2 throttle bodies?
Because it sounds like one cyl doing most of the work at idle. That leaves the other cyl just firing every now and then.

I think it just needs to be balanced.

    You looked for cracked boots?
    And hoses?

Did it do this when you bought it?
Or did it just start this?

    A little history is needed

Did you turn any of the adjustment screws on the throttle bodies?

    I have to ask
