I just got done installing my new true duals this morning. I got the chrome tip version. They look great much nicer then to OE pipes. As for the sound. It is the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard. Nice mellow rumble at idle and cruise. When you hit the throttle WOW is all I can say. The sound is amazing. Fit and finish were very good. The only thing I don't like is that the left pipe is in the way of the kick Stand. So it is really tricky to find it with my heal it put down. I hope I can get used to it but if not I might try a kick stand extention. If your thinking about them stop thinking and start ordering. In my humble opinion it is the best exhaust currently available for cross bikes.

I was already running a VFC and my stock mufflers had thrush glass packs in them. I also have a loydz air filter. So I don't think you have to tune it. I do think it helps. It defiantly runs a heck of a lot better now then it did stock.

You will get used to finding the kickstand with no worries, just be careful stopped at lights for the left side Pipe sticking out a little .. Although don't take long to learn that either .. :) Other than that I think they rock in Sound and Power ..

I'm sure I will get used to it but if not I will put an extention on there. It does feel like it had more power now. I'm not sure if its in my head though. It sure does sound nice with the throttle wide open.

The way that left pipe sticks out would concern me. If I were doing these both head pipes would take a trip to a ceramic coating shop, one that does them inside and out. Properly coated headers can be touched by bare hands without burning, cheaply coated, outside only, not so much.

I was a little concerned about the left pipe sticking out. So far thought its not a problem.

I'm going to be ordering these pipes soon....do I need to order anything else for them....?? I am picking up a totally stock bike next week. Please tell me anything extra I need or can I just bolt em on. The kingpin I had did have victory performance shot gun exhaust and I was "told" it was remapped ?? I heard a backfire here and there. Do I need to do this?

You will need to get new exhaust gaskets. If you are going to keep the stock air filter. You should be ok without a tune or flash. If you are going to change the air filter which I recomend then you need a flash or tuner. If you want to do get rid of the O2 sensors then you need to order plugs for the o2 ports.

They are made by Freedom Performance. I got mine from http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/Freedom_Performance_Racing_Duals_w_4_Inch_Muffler_p/fp-racingdual-xroad.htm Witch doctor also has them. You can google them for pics and video. They have a great sound. Nice rumble at idle and cruise and they scream when you get on the throttle. You won't get the same sound from any of the slipons withe the stock head pipe.
