Hi there mate. Another barbecue summer in the land of drab grey skies! But I'm still getting out on my old KP whenever the drizzle stops. Hope you're getting out and about on your Vic to spread the word.

Nice to see a UK section! Me, I'm an ex-Harley (Lowrider) owner turned to Victory just around the point at the 2009 NEC show when Harley couldn't be bothered toturn upbut Victory did. Awesome machines and I've not heard a bad report about them. I'm a bit of a wannabe Vic owner right now, waiting for finances to come together. That won't stop me having a test ride or two though (ahem)

Hey Tezz,
Before I got my one, it didn't stop me either.
I picked my Vegas up at P&H Crawley and they let me test ride for months, before buying. I was putting on over 100 miles each time and all they asked was that I returned it with the tank filled to the same level as when I left.

Hi to all the other UK'ers,

I am a relatively new Victory owner. I have a 2009 Hammer S, had it since new from Oct 2009. Good to see some other Vic owners from good old Blighty. Anyone here from the SE. Would be good to have a meet up some where?

Hi Paul,
I live on the Kent/Surrey border, near J6 on the M25 (well I do for the next few months).
I see that you are from Rochester, I used to live at the top of Bluebell Hill, in Walderslade Woods.
If you want to meet up some time I'd be glad to see you.
Is anyone else out there in the South East area?
Paul.

This now seems like a good place to ask... What's it like owning a Vic? Spares and accessories easy to come by? Mynearest dealer (P&H in Crawley) is one of those multi-franchise places, anyone had experience of them? Admittedly Simon, the Victory rep there seemed like a reasonable bloke and also an ex-Harley man, I'll have to nip back and have another chat once my 'classic' (old and knackered) S*z*ki is back together.

Hi Tezz,
Owninga Victory is great......
With regards to Victory parts & spares in general Victory UK are tremendous. The service is great and some of the independent dealers are absolutely priceless. Victory UK have helped me out on a number of occasions and they are a great bunch of people.

I have also imported third party parts from the states and never had a problem.

Idid getmy bike from P&H. They have just lost the guy in the workshop that owned and specialised in Victories, (he moved to another company).

In general, I have found P&H pretty average, (just another multi-franchise place).

Simon is good but services is a bit hit & miss, I had a warranty part on order with them for a long, long time, after many phone calls, when I called in to rip into them, it suddenly appeared on the shelf. They have told me things that have contradicted Vic UK and other dealercomments (suspension & clutch etc.) but generally no real problems, just no real heart in it. I would consider buying from them again but will now take their technical advice with a pinch of salt.

Depending on your location, I think that we may be getting a new dealer in Kent and possibly even central London but you could try these as they have a great reputation.

Thunder Road, Birmingham http://www.thunderroad.com/
Blade, Swindon http://www.bladegroup.co.uk/victory/and
Freedom Motorcycles, Cambridgehttp://www.victory-vtwins.com/

I hope this helps a little,
Paul.

My son is called Paul, does that count? Anyway thanks for the info lads, with a bit of luck we might see a few more dealerships appear. By the way has anyone seen those MSD coils for Victory? Conquest Customs over in the statesstock them and they do look a bit trick if nothing else, and I've heard good things about the S&S intake. For now I'm also looking at the long term Hammer one of the MCN staff has at the moment to see how he gets on (just so long as he doesn't treat it like a Ducati/latest Japanese supersport whatever). I can safely say that I have turned my back on Harley...

Hi Pauls, is this the pauls and associatesvictoryriders forum. lol
Today I was in a Victory dealers talking to a member of staff and he said that Victory are intending to have 20 dealers in the UK as the market would not take any more than that. Its sounds about right to me but what do others think?

Hi Paul's and the other few......

Should we also promote www.vicowners.co.uk a good place to look for Victory rides near where you live.

Hi Neil,
The VOC site is excellent and as you say it's a good place for finding information on rides, they also have some goodcontactsfor events and local ambassadors.
Paul.
Ps. I agree with your comments about the 09 & 10 ride positions, but my wife likes the low.

Hi all

This is Tater checking in

I too am new to the world of Victory having bought my 04 Kingpin earlier this year.

I live within a stones throw of Boxhill my wife gets disturbed by the noisy b*****ds on their race reps every Sunday through the summer.

KP a little poorly at the moment but finger crossed its sorted and can get on the road again properly soon.

I too was not overwhelmed by P&H when I visited , although in contrast I called into to Fighter Station 123 or something like that on a trip to Weymouth and they were the dogs danglies

Hopefully catch up with some of you this summer (!!) Off to the Cropredy Folk Festival (Its the new Rock n Roll) next weekend with the KP and a tent so fingers crossed that the bike gets there and the weather is kind
