We always hear about the problems with new bikes (or cars, for that matter), but do not hear so manypositive stories of ownership.
What has been your experience in buying anew Victory X-Y-Z (any model) and what did you like about it? How long have you had it without any problems?
What is your normal ride like? - a long tour, "beverage-establishment-hopping" (maybe a PC way to put it better than Rollin), riding around town, 1 or 2-up, and so on?
What did you like the most about your Victory? If you could change some small things, like convenience items, or whatever, what would you suggest to Victory.
How would you rate your local dealer in parts, service, and attitude? If a dealer is outstanding, perhaps others should know about them?
curious....

I bought my 09 KP Tour from Elk Island Polaris in Alberta, Canada. The purchase was a snap from Don the sales man. It didn't matter how many times I called or the number of questions put forth he made time for me. I liked the naked bike look with the capacity to tour on the bike with bags, trunk, and windshield. So easy to clean after a days touring. Have owned the bike for 16 months and have a little over 17,000 trouble free miles. I ride solo with my normal days ride around 300 miles. Touring is 99% of my riding as urban riding is not enjoyable for me. I love the power of the Victory power plants and ease of maintenance. On the left front of my engine cases is a machined threated hole that is not painted. It has no use and wish it was not there. Everyone sees it and asks what part I am missing. Looks cheap....bush league. Parts stock is excellent at Elk Island. Attitude towards the customer is great. Service is A for effort and customer satisfaction but there is always room for improvement. I think this is probably true with any service department. Trying to repair mechanical devices to a customers liking is a difficult challenge. But if the effort is there that is half the battle.

I to bought my 09 KP from Elk Island Sales.
Picked it up near the end of march , my last KP went down under a car The fall before. I simply bounced off well mostly.
Back to the tread topic. I now have 12000 klms on my KP and it runs stronger every day. I just got back in from a run down the hyway at about 10 degrees c felt so great.
I have had a number of bikes over the years and I would have to say this bugger is my fav hands down.
What would I change on a Vic , Well it seems there are a few little things like oil lines hanging oddly to me simply to exposed ! twin dics on the front would be a nice upgrade, Personally I don't think much of the paint work on my bike but .
I think the biggest thing Victory and or Polaris should be doing is working on climate control units allowing us to ride more comfortably as the season slipps away for this year!!!Oh ya normal rides vary in length from 10 klms to 4000 klms
It doesnt hurt that it will beat my brother on his street glide with an 95 stage 2 HDHe says he is running 84 hp or at least thats what they tell him at his dealer

My Jackpot is great because...

It stands out from the norm.

In an industry saturated with numerous lettered models (FLHRSI, FXST, FXCW,..., what does all that mean? and how much cracker jack do I need to eat before I get the secret decoder ring that helps me figure it all out). There are glides, soft tails, dyna's, deuce's, ..., and to many versions of each of those. I almost have the v rod thing down, maybe, and sometimes the sportster, but honestly I don't have time or interest to attend hd college and get my model identifier phd.

When asked I only have to say it's a Jackpot made by Victory. Just like all it's brothers 1 name with distinct differences. On taco Thursday, it's the bike surrounded by people pointing fingers at it. It gets the guy matching speed with it asking his wife to lean back so he can get a better look. It's strangers walking up to it at the gas station to say "nice bike". I just don't see that happen to those 6 letter models, maybe because there is a 1,000,000 of them and they all look the same. So I enjoy having a bike that isn't like all the rest.

It is comfortable, reliable, maintenance friendly (free), clean design, and fun to ride. It's just a great motorcycle.

Love the style and the reliability. I also admit I enjoy all the looks and comments the bike gets.

The only thing I don't like is that I only have 1 of them.

Bought My 2010 XC at Cumming GA (Now Freedom Powersports) as well. Jeff (the Manager) is the BOMB. He treated/treats me great. The bike was in pristine condition when I picked it up. Had to deal with him from Afghanistan sometimes and he was patient and helpfull.
LOVE my XC, especially after Lloyd and Adam got done with it. Took it over to Deals Gap area and that thing is a blast in the twisties. I rode it there from Lloydz in upstate NY and got complements every time I stopped. One guy rode past me on the freeway in his convertable with his hand to his ear. I didn't get it at first, then I understood, he wanted me to whomp it WOT (wide Open Throttle). I grabbed the clutch, dropped 2 gears and blasted it, past him up to a quick 100ish. As I looked in the rear view mirror I saw both hands in the air with what I can surmise were thumbs up.
I ride mostly 1 up as my wife has her own scoot (VTX1800R). I havn't logged a load of miles yet, but being deployed all the time keeps my miles limited.
I also like my Vic because it's an American machine and it goes against the established American MC grain (read HD). I'd like an Indian or Iron Horse or Big Dog for the same reasons.
