It arrives every October. Oil change, battery maintainer plugged in, cover on today.

This season, I rode only 6090 kms (3784 miles). Covid-19 killed any hopeful planned long trips. But every time I rode, it was great. The bike's information center states my overall mileage was 56.3 mpg imperial (46.9 mpg US). But in the real world, my RoadTrip app shows the following:

Usually April. I don't pine for riding like a newbie does. Once it's put to bed, I get on with other things.

Yup, I went out today for probably the last ride of the season. It was a beautiful day in the Nations Capital.
I will put her to bed and get the snow blower ready (yuck).
At least you got 1,000 kms more than I did this year. Good for you.
    See you in the spring.

I was able to pull my bike out for a short afternoon ride of about 30 miles this week. It was 57, but dry and sunny. It had been since early Sept. so it was a nice run.
Typically the off season is about 6 months, and some of the riding season is too wet and cold so I'd say about a good 3-4 months or so.

Here in Florida we ride all year. When I lived up north though, it was snowmobiles all winter. Those sleds are alot of fun and will take your mind right off the bike:cool-99:

We’ve been lucky ( in ohio ) and get to ride at least one day each month through the winter months on the street bike, we play in side x sides, Jeep’s & quads when the snows flying

@1stVictory Buddy that is some great mpg 40 is an average on my indian unless I’m up over 5000 ft then I can get 45-46. Hell my old Carburetor Electra Glide gets 43 with a 5 speed.

It’s our riding season now lol. The guys are taking tomorrow off to ride in low 80’s with lower tan usual humidity. I’ll catch up later as some of us still work for a living. Loving our weather now but I’ll be the first to admit that I dislike the summers here anymore. I used to spend them on the water a lot and I still have my boat but I’m over the work of boating. Sorry …..I’ll stop complaining now.

I feel your pain (those of us living in the snowy regions), but it helps me appreciate the great days when I do get to go for a ride.
After all, I'm generally healthy & have two wheels to help me soar on the ground. @slickvic categorized our situation well here...
