@slickvic I'm not sure, Slick. I reckon out of all the entries this is just how it played out. I would have to say the Challenger is my pre-race favorite, but you never know! These gentlemen have all the tricks up their sleeves and we might get surprised. Either way it should be fun. Not as competitive as when they were running the Vance & Hines series, but fun nevertheless!
Really, this race isn't against the baggers is it? As produced, it would be no contest.

The race is really against the third party parts builders and mechanics.

Still, would be nice to watch but in the GWN we don't get much for bike racing since the demise of the FOX Racing channel. Going to have to look at getting a VPN. MotoGP would be nice too.
@53canuck Dude, MotoGP has been off the hook. Marquez broke his arm in the first round and hasn't raced since. With him out of the mix, it's been wide open every round! There have been different winners riding different bikes, High drama, incredible wrecks, it's been amazing! All except for MotoE. That just sucks, man. They can barely do Moto3 speeds. Since they are ALL going that slow, the racing in reality hasn't been horrible, but I just can't get behind these f*cking electric motorcycles. All the other classes have been bangin! They were in Misano last week and will be there again this week. I can't wait!
But that is OK, it is still gonna be hella fun.
Take some pix and post them for us plz

Damn, I'm going to have to find some video's. I'm sure I can find highlights at least.

PS just watched the last lap from Styrian. Wow.
I would like to see this race also. They should also do a stock bike from the factory race at this event. Why not have Honda Goldwings and BMW K 1600 B and Triumph Rocket ( 1st generation bagger ) as they fit the bagger moniker?
Because this all about HD and Indian. No one cares about the other brands. I also would like to see an all bagger shoot out and done in stock form. Anyone can take a turd and make it kick everyone's a$$.
Seems funny though. 13 HD’s Vs 1 Indian ?
What? No Goldwing?
What? No Goldwing?
or K1600B?

edit: nm, according to the site, they are limiting it to just V-Twins.

But but there’s no bags ? What’s a bagger shoot out with no stinking bags !
Tnx for the link @53canuck ... it was interesting (even if it was hard to read because of all the advertising).

That's the first thing that went through my mind too - NO bags - changed up riding position... Bags would really alter the dynamic.

It's a work in progress, they're still working on the rear end bodywork. This isn't the finished product.

I’m wondering what SS will bring to the after market for this bike and the models to follow.
I’m thinking Indian finall has a shot to re write some lost history. I know it will never be the same and the legacy was interrupted but it’s an Indian none the less. S&$ and Lloydz at the helm bringing us some Indian performance can liven up things a little. This shootout is a great idea but why are there 13 Harleys ? Incase they keep breaking down they’ll have a replacement ? If that’s the case they better get 20 ...........:22yikes:

BTW guys, the bags WILL be mounted for the final configuration. They said they will be mounting them higher up to provide more lean angle, which is supposedly at 58 degrees at this point. Not too shabby!

They changed so much on these bikes this is hardly a bagger race anymore.
I'd rather see the them going all out on stock bikes sparks flying grinding off bits around the track.

Yeah kinda reminds me of NASCAR. Who'd a thunk a Toyota would have gotten on the track.
Just a look alike shell with tons of high dollar engineering under it.
I would like to see a bagger brawl at our local track here in Palm beach county.
We can do 1/4 mile and track time. I can promise you stock bike to stock bike if we're talking about baggers only ? The Indian would fair well. The BMW and Goldwing have a good chance and HD ? No chance. Not stock to stock.

Wing has a lot of advantage being already a sport bike from the core. Challenger should get some good lean angle though stock. Looks about same as XC when I was browsing at dealer.
