I just had an idea. Why don't they just change the name all together. Something not offensive to any group.

Maybe something like Victory?

Is that taken? Lol!
No that demographic would determine that the word "Victory" is too aggressive and as such needs to be neutered to the brand name, "Entitled." With models like Save Spacer and Transer available with all tires to be white with black sidewalls. In addition, the color red will dropped for purple... No strike that, as that may upset the birds as Barney the Dinosaur would object, then there is that colored feather thing that caused this in the first place.

The Irony is that the Minority they are playing to is not even Native Americans, they are Woke Karens...

The guy is annoyng as hell. I watched the first 2 minutes and turned it off. The fake indignation was too much.
Probably rides a Harley...
I would bet the people who are upset aren’t the people that would buy a motorcycle or Polaris product anyways.

If in fact there are people who really are upset that is, meaning it’s just Polaris trying to get out in front of being “cancelled “

Polaris, also the north star, is offensive to the entire southern hemisphere, and movie-stars are not stars so they can't be called that to avoid altercations with real stars spread throughout the universe I would petition Polaris to change their name as well. Don't do it half-assed.

They will have to stay away from some star names like Scutum, Urania, Cygnus . Not to mention other lights in the sky from moons and planets like, Mercury, Ganymede as they have been adopted by the alternate lifestyle group (not judging don't give a damn what they do behind "closed" doors). I mean the thought of just anyone straddling the saddle will be offensive to someone. Probably just a non-specified Woke Punk, as Bikers were already associated with a specific political lean...

Some of those stars were always intended to be gay by those doing the naming, but that was then and one must apply "today's" standards to yesterdays generations and situations... It is the rule of the Woke!

Maybe a name like " Bewildered Motorcycles" as the buyers of their products seem to end up there...

I recall when the Boardwalk came out and ended up replacing my beloved Kingpin, I replied to a post that I thought the Boardwalk looked quite similar to the Pin. I was quickly shutdown on that one (but never took it personally with this group).

IMHO sometimes it's better to leave things be and just go for a ride :fiddy:. Have a great weekend all!
What the Hell are you saying? I was looking at the Pin and went with the Boardy because the fenders are innies and the Pin outies and the seat is a outies to the Pin’s innie. Ah, the taillight is different and….

Give me a minute… ah then there is the, ah, yeah the fenders…

Lol, they are Cousins............................
Whaat, just because they have tires and... and... the same motor, floorboards, exhaust system, turn signals,etc... But, but, there is the side panels, yeah that is the ticket... No, they are almost identical.

Okay I give up, just like up to 25% of the kids in the World, that don't know that their Dad really isn't their biological father. So there is a chance she looks like the mailman. Truth is, I had a hard time deciding between the two as both to me were beautiful bikes. I was eyeballing a 2012 Pin while I bought the 2013 Boardy. No one can argue the Kingpin was a pure success and the Boardy was the red headed step-child of Victory as pointed out and one of the 25%. Then we all were orphaned...

Only made about 1200 of them as they just sat on the showroom floors. Leading me to acquire mine at 25% below retail and 10% off all the accessories. Hell, when I pulled into Southeast Victory Rally, I could hear all the whispering and mumbling about "Which Model is that?" "Never seen one in the Wild", as I just raised my head proudly, like I was riding a Unicorn...

Yeah that, and I was thinking more along the line of it has two cylinders. Or wait, maybe Polaris copied that from Harley, when they made Victory?
Yeah, yeah, but, but, at least Victory made it so the spark-plug doesn't fire on every upstroke because of, I forgot why they do that... Something with the crankshaft angle of the V and flywheel ratio requiring the unsophisticated ignition system to fire both plugs. And the darn riders like the potato-potato sound...

Well the Victory, just roars as we don't hear a potato thing, but the mechanical music of the valve drive train (scary to HD riders). From a clean sheet of paper design to dominate and spank and herd them HD's into compliance. Thus rule as the Highways of the West as America's Premiere V-Twin...

Then the Indian Scout's ambushed us at the Pass, leaving us scalped and slowly bleeding out as the frozen Master Polaris of the North, rode off into the sunset, on the Scout and Challenger. Bred from the future engines of the Breed... I would argue if it weren't for the Octane engine going into the Scout, giving it such banner success, Victory might have survived under the Headdress as the performance Indian.

Without push-rods...

I think the funniest and also the silliest comment I ever heard regarding the original V92 engine is: “it looks like an air compressor motor”.
But it did till they change the fin configuration... Come on man you know it "was" true.

Yes sir, I tended to agree with the 'air compressor motor' assessment. Still funny though.

Polaris certainly started out a little utilitarian in the aesthetics department. As the designs matured they most certainly gained a beautiful form as well as increased function.
Still the best damn motorcycle on the Planet...
