I've seen some around 18 bucks, but got to do some digging to sort out all the usual bs as you know. Either way, up until recently I never realized it was so easy, and even better, provides such a huge visual benefit.

Do you have to modify the glass itself? Or do the Lights blast through it?

No, that's what surprised me, install behind the mirror and light em up!
In heavy interstate traffic and downtown I would appreciate these. Granted, I do turn my head, make eye contact with the person in the adjacent lane that I want to enter, then I point with my hand where I want to go... before I go. But in low light conditions, these should enhance all of that effort, and help get some attention.
