I went back to Dunlop, the E4 , because of C2 sizing. Loved the C2 but added a little height which was counterproductive to me installing lowering link. But got great mileage from them and would recommend.
I didn't care for all of the sporadic sliding around with the E4.

Being as the tires usually only last a season, I'm willing to try what is supposed to be the next best tire to come along after some good reviews are posted. But nothing holds the road the consistency of the Avon Cobra Chromes !

True dat, have had my xct for 28 months and done little over 36k miles on her, I am on 4th rear and 3rd front, after trying multiple brands have found my “forever tires” with the Avon’s. Best feel yet wet, dry, hot or cold.

Rain is something I rarely see, if that. But I have heard that about the E4s. They're great for where I am.

Commander 2s have an excellent chance of putting you in the ditch if you ride in an enthusiastic manner on wet, or even damp mountain roads. Avon Cobras much better in those conditions, even E4s are better on the back for that sort of riding.
I might consider trying another Commander 2 if I lived in Broken Hill or Alice Springs, but when I lived at Obi Obi, I took off and threw away the last one before it was 1/3 worn.

lot of curvy out here where I hit. I really like the E4's so not worried.
They are a good option, I got 25k miles from my front E4 ( still has life left in it ) but only 13k miles outta the rear but the Avon’s really has impressed me with grip. Like you had said, you rarely ride in the wet so the E4’s will do just fine, I really liked the Exedra Max’s too & would use them again if couldn’t get the avon cc’s

And also that I live in Norway, we have more turns here on our roads than straight roads so the mileage you guys are talking about here on this forum are almost completely impossible to gain in Norway:LOL:
If we discover a road that goes just straight ahead for more than 1km without any turns, we can almost go to the news with it:ROFLMAO:
