So, good news and an update. My friend is out of the hospital and home. Walking, talking, a tiny bit slow, but doing effectively normal in all respects. He still has a couple of surgeries but that will come a little later on.

That's great news. Progress may not be as fast as we always want, but it's super positive. Let him know we're all pulling for him and thanks for updating.

Almost. Right after, 'good to wake up alive.' Just happy he's not suffering brain damage. Still wearing some kind of head gear from the hospital, so he must have taken some kind of shot to the head, but doing good considering. Young man with a bright future. Need all of those we can get.

Happy for him. I am repeatedly amazed at how much abuse the human body can take and heal itself. 1st and 2nd hand experience.
