I bought a Lloyds air filter for my CCT. In watching the Witchdoctors install video, he removes the rubber horseshoe sleeve on the new filter. Is there any reason why you can't leave it on? I remember putting the filter on my wife's CR a few years back and the sound the new filter made was pretty loud without it.

you can leave it in place it will cut down on the sucking noise.
