I have a 2016 highball and have resorted to purchasing a chrome Arlen Ness screw in gas cap and will probably have it powder coated. I searched high and low for the black beveled screw in gas cap, made about four purchases that were canceled due to not being in stock from various different places.

So my question is, has anyone found a keyless gas cap that works with Victory’s, other than the Arlen Ness caps or the Kewlmetal pop up cap?

I found some forum threads, in other forums, where people had suggested some quarter turn or threaded caps, that look like they belong on sport bikes, but no one confirmed if they work or not, and, the threads were so old there is no point in resurrecting them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not seen anything other than the Ness caps out there. I have the black beveled one myself and I am quite happy with it other than it's been sun-faded over the years. WD has that used pop-up for sale they pulled off a bike I guess and I was thinking about that one for the gunner but the reason it's difficult to find them is because of the screw locations I imagine. Victories are unlike any other bike out there and that comes to many of the parts and accessories as well, unfortunately. I'm sure there's a way to modify the stock cap to work without a key as well, perhaps a push-button can be used in place. The Ness is good quality if you chose it and you will be happy with the product if not the cost.

The black contrast cut Ness caps are great. Ebay may be the best place to get one.
One guy here pushed out the pin(s) on the factory cap...it still locked, but was detached once the key was turned.

I have done the eBay route already. My order was cancelled three times before I tried a seller on amazon, and that order was canceled as well. Trying to see if there’s anything out there, other than the Arlen Ness cap, that works. I already ordered the chrome cap, and plan to see if I can get it powder coated locally. But wanted to know if anyone else found some alternatives.

Got the beveled, but found the silver contrast lines slowed me down a little....had painted gloss BLACK and clear coated = speed back and no fading

I called them last week because their web site showed that they had it. They did not.
I saw on line that J & P had it so I called them. They did not have the cap in any of their retail stores but they did have it in their warehouse. So I ordered it and got it in two business days.

I had waited for 5 weeks to get it from Witchdoctor's but with the caps disappearing and WD unable to give me a date on when they would get more, I decided to cancel my order with them and get it elsewhere. For me it was worth paying the extra $20 to make sure that I got it. I hate the stock cap that much.

IM12STPN: Was that on your V8Ball or CC? I would think that there would be no reason this would not work on the V8ball but the website indicates only up to 2014. The only thing I don't like much about the BBC is the key location, and have thought about the guard Dog system. If you still have to carry the key....

I have on both bikes...in fact on VEGAS, first thing after I took to KEVINX that I added...hated that dumb flip cap....CC is still a pain sometimes with that dumb ring inside

Working on coming down there FEB/MAR time frame. Haven't decided if bringing both bikes yet, might be bringing friends to. Either way maybe we can get together for a ride or two.:devil3: (make sure to tell Kevin Dean says HI please, great guy as is his sidekick Seth also check with him, think he can do your 5000 mile check up....prolly better and more reliable)

That would be great if we can get together for a ride. I am down about halfway between Miami and Key Largo. Keys should be better by then if you are interested in coming down this far. That is my favorite run in FL. Probably irrational thinking on my part but I want the dealer to document the 5k service for warranty purpose and I understand there is a bit of a wait at Kevin X. I been slow getting stuff done lately, am actually still dealing with some stuff from the hurricane.
