Just turned 56 on the 6Th. You all know I just quit smoking 2 days ago. Do in well with it so far.
So for the last few years both arms and hands have been feeling like the are burning. Mostly happens when I ride for a long time or do a bunch of heavy lifting. Well since my move, I have slept very little because of the pain. So I go to the hand specialist today. Carpal Tunnel in both hands. He shoots up both wrists and give me these braces to ware. Now I feel and look like a read old man. They will do some testing and see how bad they really are. Says I mighthave surgery on both.
Anyway I ask him if I can do both if I need it at the same time. Says he could if I have someone to wipe my behind for a couple of days.Well scratch that thought! It's tough typing with these darn things. Have to keep going to get close in count to the D&D boys!!! :) Have a day!!!

Happy Happy (belated). I am going to hospital for a "proccedure" tomorrow. I had to quit taking any vitamins, asprin or "pain" relievers 10 days prior to proceedure. The past 3 daysthe lack of those items hasreminded mewhat my arthritis feels like in a huge way. (btw, I hit 60 mid December and since then the medical stuff has been in a hurry to catch up with me)
Good luck with the wrists and getting someone to wipe your arse.

Happy Birthday Bubba!

Yes, I'm just a few months younger than you and getting older is a barrel of monkeys...but it sure beats the alternative!

There's always a silver liner...Maybe you'll get a Spyder soon...and buy it with all the $$$ you're NOT spending on cigarettes.

Happy belated bubba im not too far behind you 51 next month. Other than blood pressure meds and some fish oil im pretty good. But the pitfalls of starting Motocross at 6 and beating the crap out of myself for oh those many years have me reminded that im not 21 anymore. The knee surgery in 77 always tells me when the weather is going to change. And the sounds my bones make in the morning sound like the next installment of Jason and the Argonauts !
My wife has carpal badly in her hands and id like to say its from servicing me over the past 30 years but its just from all the computer work she has done.
Its not fun by any means, and i hope you find the treatment you need. Keep up the good work on the cigs as well !

Bubba, Happy (Belated) Birthday
I knew if I saved this cake it would come in handy if I waited long enough.
So out of the freezer it comes.

Happy bday, you ol' fart. Now's the time you look back on your solemn oath not to live past 30... well, 40.... 50 is probably okay...
Sorry about the pain, bud. I know that doesn't get much better with time, but just think - hasn't life really gotten better as you've learned how to live it?

Happy Birthday Bubba from the 61 y/o guy who had the carpal in both hands. If you haven't had the neuro conduction test yet your going to love it (not! think cattle prod.). I had my primary hand cut on first, then 6 months later myoff hand. Good news is the pain in both arms has gone away so I can recommend the procedure whole heartedly. Best of luck!

You are as old as one feels! Mentally I am still young, the Body keeps wanting me to mature!
That's why I love some of the drugs and proceduresthey have today. I will say with the shot and the braces last night I slept all night for the first time in two years. Now I feel like a young Buck!!! :)

I wore the braces on both hands for 6 weeks night and day. No worky for me but then again I sit at a computer all day so the repetitive motion thing was my downfall.

Did you get the shot? I sit all day at a computer also. I also wear them while typing. Did you have the surgery?
