I saw tree's like this when I walked in the woods as a young teenager but never thought any thing about a tree bent like this ,but just being unusual in nature.

Good post!
While cleaning up the yard after Irma I found a maple sapling about 6" high that is bent just like that!
I'll try to remember to snap a pic over the weekend & post it next week.
