I meant in stock form, I know plenty about Vick;s and what they are capable of when massaged a bit.

    VISION, BABY!
    Good to "see" you, Pedro!
    How's Texas?!?
Saw a white Vision and thought of you.

Yeah-- me, too. I wish Vic was still going. I have been considering another Victory, but have found that some parts are getting impossible to find --- looked at a great bike that was being sold cheap because of that very issue. Minor accident and bike was "totaled" for basically nothing.

Still might go ahead with the purchase. Never had a Victory fail me.

I'd love to ride the Triumph. The fuel mileage scares me, though! Lol.

I think for the going rate of a victory today I would just buy one or two. That way you have spare parts.

I had that same thought while looking through cycle trader the other day, I absolutely love my xct but hate that I’m rapidly acquiring miles so a second would be nice.

    I love both bikes.
Different , they are ....but both make me smile each time I ride.
In a straight up 1/4 mile race ....the duc will win....just can't get the vic 252hp to the ground efficiently enough in 1320 ft.
The duc is 200 lbs lighter than the hammer....and much easier to toss around turns .....
    However.....
The Hammer , in this form, makes me giggle like a schoolgirl everytime I whack the throttle..... 50mph rollin burnouts are fun.
    Scarey ....but fun.

    Yea....I like em both.

Question. NHRA gave up the 1320' drag strip years ago for 1000'. Top fuel motorcycles have 1/8 mile races for years as well. Is anyone still using 1/4mile?

The track I frequent does 1/4 mile for test n tunes.....

I know some sponsored events with the big boys is usually 1/8 mile grudge match style.

We still use it DownUnder, except for Top Fuel that runs to 1000foot.
