I'm going to start this thread, unfortunately, won't be able to post up for a little while. Reason is for all the new folks concerned about mileage and how many they may be able to achieve. We can just refer them to this thread. I'm am jealous of all the seat time. I am curious how many of you are out there. So, I know @lou8700 and @Known1 can start. Mods and miles and what it took to get there.

a recently passed, friend of the shop .. had 150k+ on his 06 Hammer with Ground Pounders. Rode from FL to AK and back!! Bike was still going strong until the TRANSMISSION gave out. He ended up selling that and getting one of our AMS bikes and rode the hell out of that until he left this world.

point being ... that if you TAKE CARE of these bikes, they WILL last 100k + EASY

The OU 14 XCT to the left of my black XC is almost to 120k, original belt, clutch has been replaced twice, cams, filter, true duels. Runs it fast and hard.

Only little issue is she won't always start with the button at a gas-n-go fuel stop. Gotta jump the solenoid or wait 10-15 minutes which is the norm for our fuel stops. FB_IMG_1605404978468.jpg

Fronts only, yes. I went there with my Vision, contemplating going double as it needs a rear tire now. I will probably not 160 the front of my XC but I do like it on the Vision.

160 front ever since KevinX brought it up. Did a run flat car tire two years ago and it’s also great.

Have no clue how many 100, 000 Mile Victory's are out there but , but am sure there are quite a few.. I can verify my Stage 2 2012 XC did 80,000+ with No Issues at all .. One reason after my 2017 Chieftain got totaled decided to grab this 2011 XC Garage Queen with 21,000 for $8,000 rather than take the 16,000 I got from Insurance and have to cough up at least another 10,000 for a Touring Ride .. I have close to 10,000 Miles of my own on it now trouble free, other than replaced the OEM Battery.. I have no doubts it will outlast me as much as I ride at my age anymore ..

Bill was my friend. He joined our group on many rides. We rode a lot together and loved leading our HD brethren. He is sorely missed.

Some great pics of Bill. The one of Isenberg is classic. That was his Halloween costume one year ..... perfect !! His Conquest Customes R/T Vic was awesome. Always stole the show. One year at the Vic Ralley in HelenGA. Bill won the Raffle Vic that Scott built ! Talk about luck !!!! Couldn’t of happened to a better person. RIP Bill.

I've probably had over twenty bikes over the years. But I would have to say the XR is the the best bike I've ever owned. It's taken me to both coasts, south to the border and well into Canada without ever leaving me stranded. With just over 120,000 miles now it's still running good. Replaced the belt and rear sprocket with good used ones because of a stone puncture at 80,000 miles, kickstand with a good used one because to pivot point was worn out and leaning and it's on it's third battery. Other than that just normal maintenance. I haven't put many miles on it the last couple years due to a few other projects but am looking forward to one day posting on the 200,000 + mile thread.

No mods by me but a cupholder , a phone holder, passenger armrests (since removed).
P.O. reportedly, PCV, Lloyds timing wheel, top filter, cams, baker air wings.
Tried double dark once but now just the rear, 4 tires into it. About 23k per rear. Amsoil 10w/40 motorcycle oil every 2,500 miles. purolater one PL14610 filters. One used drive belt @77k. Fork oil twice, seals once. Spark plugs/wires twice, maybe some minor stuff besides those wretched front headlights...worst thing on this bike. Which really isn't too bad compared to say, some HD horror stories
