So, in addition to my old V92C, how many other V92s are still alive out there in VOG-land?

Mine still runs like a top, still goes 120mph occasionally if no one is looking, and now gets about 40mpg at safe and reasonable speeds. It also has the original transmission which I try to shift respectfully and precisely.

Blue Thunder is running strong, we had our 20th anniversary in February. Transmission replaced under the original 1+3 year warranty with a 2003 trans at around 26,000 miles. While it was already apart I had Andrews cams, J&E high compression pistons , & PM chip installed-all still working great together & will hit the rev limiter in the blink of an eye.

That's a fine looking bike, and your motor set up is stronger than Ajax.

    Great photos, too.

I took a test ride on a 99 I think in 2000... I had read about vic and wanted to see what it was all about. I fell in love, have/had 5 different vics over the years but I never did get that 99. Glad to see you guys are getting your money's worth out of them. :)

I've been watching two 1999's for sale on Craigslist here in Oregon. Both look all original and in great shape. Both blue and black. One has 15k miles for $3,125, the other has 5k miles for $4,500. I'm tempted but not sure I can justify another scooter in the garage.

Those are just barely broken in. Don't you wish you could buy BOTH?

I remember those green and silver gray V92TCs. Beautiful bikes.

I had to search & wait for new fork bushings, too. Probably should have bought another set for the future.

Saw one last night ride by the local water hole. Great outside establishment with sidewalk seating and bar on a coastal festive street where many a hot rod and motorcycle ride by throttling up the exhaust in an attempt to get you lookin at em’ ! This one was red and black. Sounded good and looked like new. Was hoping he would come around again and stop for a chat but to not avail. Ride on !

New here but glad to see im not alone. Just bought a 99 myself. Have had a few hiccups as she is an old girl. Throttle cable, clutch cable, both replaced. Bike number 1083 Blue and Black. Still have a few more issues but mileage is at 9k...ish since 2002. They changed the ODO out so I've no clue on actual.

I always liked the TC bikes. Buddy of mine that I rode with a lot had a couple of them (wrecked one and got another) and they are a great platform to eat the miles up. I think the TC is probably the roomiest 2-up bike on the road still. I'd look to get a luggage rack on it but other than that you're set to ride~!

New here too. Just put a new starter on my '99 yesterday. Went for a ride last night, and my rear caliper locked up and destroyed itself, along with the rotor. The engine still hums like the day I bought it!
Having a hard time finding parts. I may have to go buy a new bike. :)
