Bikendad,
I live an hour west of Owen Sound, and will probably be home that weekend, not trying to barge in, but if you run into problems or need to call, or want someone to ride with, I can PM you my home number.
There is also a Vic dealer in OS, Thomboys Powersports.

Going North of OS is CR-1, it follows the bay to Wiarton, to confuse you this is also called Grey Rd 26, this route is about 1 hr long with lots of twisties and good pavement. You'll have to keep a watch for cottages pulling out of their driveway, but all in all it's a good run.
Just before Wiarton is the Bruce Caves, they are not big like in Kentucky, but unique to the Niagara Escarpment. Here is a web link

From Wiarton, go north on #6 to Tobermory, it's famous for diving and glass bottom boat tours. There is a good fish and chip restaurant overlooking the harbour, sorry don't remember the name. On the other side of the harbour is a small Kiosk that sells Beaver Tails, a Canadian treat, hint, save room for them as they are a filling desert, this is a must if your like sugar.
Here is a link for the top things to do in Tobermory

The other good area is the Kimberly Valley and Ted's Road Range Diner. Take Grey Rd 13S from Highway 26 (this is not the same 26 as above). This route will take you past ski hills, golf courses and nice scenery. If you are in this area, you must go to Ted's, it's world famous, no kidding, people from all over Europe have heard of it and go there because of it's menu and uniqueness. This guy makes his own ketchup, salad dressings and has a exotic meats and well as regular foods. It doesn't look like much, but usually on a weekend you need reservations, check the link it has his menu.

Collingwood and Thornbury area has many apple orchards and great scenic roads, if it's a sunny day, all you can smell on the backroads are apples. there is also the Collingwood Caves

You might as well partake in the Ride the Bruce Passport, basically it has several areas you need to stop at and get your ticket punched, all can be done in a day, (full day) and gives you the chance to win great prizes, it also is designed for bikers, so the best roads, and attractions are listed. You can get this at any Information Booth in the towns.

There are several waterfalls in the area as well as very old lighthouses, all these have their own travel routes, which also can be picked up at an information booth.
Highway 21 from Sarnia to Owensound has new pavement in many stretches, from Kincardine to Port Elgin, there is some light construction, one lanes, controlled by temporary traffic lights, which will not delay you much, but good to know.
Let me know if you need more info
