Here's a1995 Sportster I almost bought last week,
Was still listed For Sale when I saw it after a late night on the computer at 530am
Messaged the guy and went to bed
Woke for a pee at 830 am and there was a reply Yes it's still available ..
Ok back to sleep for couple hours....WRONG MOVE!
Woke at 10.30 and messaged the guy, he was local too, and he replied SOLD!
Was a race bike with street rego.
Bit of a XLCR copy but 1200.
It's the red one, black is genuine

That would be a blast! You'd have to get used to vibration again.
You're welcome to try mine after I get off my arse and fix the disconnected gear linkage inside the box.

Pretty sure the XS650 will refresh the vibration memories.
Spewing I missed out on that red bike but, ...not meant to happen.
Of the planets align this weekend I'll be riding the eXeSs 650 home.

Oil cooler and a catch tank?
On the Sportster front, another gratuitous Sporty pic, because I do love the old junker, even if it has become a bit of a shed queen.

That's the back end of a big white dog behind it.

Loving the patina and well used million miles look and the traditional hotrod flames on your Sporty!
Re your question, no.
The eXceSs has had a proper oil filtration system fitted that takes a spin-on filter, what appears to be a catch tank is actually a large spin-on oil filter, say a Z9 or something.
Standard filtration wasn't exactly the best on them.
It either looks unwieldy or business-like depending on point of view.
