Well it was actually last week...

Decided to buy myself the best birthday gift of all... another Motorcycle!

Pretty happy with the score so far. It's a 2006 triumph Sprint:

There were a few small issues with the bike. The PO had a low speed drop on it. There are still some visible scratches on it, but I was able to buff quite a bit out and it pretty easily passes the 3-foot rule. The dash had a broken mount on the back which I epoxied and fabricated a mounting clip for. You can't see it but when you would push the buttons on the dash it was really loose. Nice and solid feeling now.

Otherwise, the bike is in great shape and runs like a champ. Yes, I'm excited about it... I wouldn't be blathering about it on here if I wasn't! Besides the wife is already sick of hearing me talk about it... :D

The bike barn is getting full but man I like the view...

They are surprisingly different. The VFR uses VTEC so it tends to get jumpy around 6800 RPM's. Not something you want to deal with in the turns! The Sprint is much different in its power delivery. Both sound amazing. Yes they are sport tourers but they are both great looking bikes. Besides, the sprint came with the bags!

Yeah... let me see if I can somehow muster up an extra 40 HP so I can keep up with you. :D

I see a bike for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the bike barn photo. I hope you can pick up three more to cover the rest of the week! Your bike barn gives hope to those of us getting by with only one or two rides. Congrats on the new Brit in your stable.

Well, it took a few years to get here and the only reason I have any of them was that I got good deals. Except for the Triumph. That I paid a fair price for. But when you think about it, I really didn't spend a lot:
    • 2013 Vegas - $6250 W/4200 miles on the clock.
    • 2002 VFR - $2200 Sold my magna for $1800 to put towards it so in the end it was $400.
    • 2018 Scout Bobber - $9000 Sold a Vulcan for $2000 so final cost was $7000.
    • 2006 Sprint - $4100 - This wasn't a "Stellar deal" but it was fair.
All in I spent about $17K which is a lot, but when you consider the cost of getting a new Motorcycle, it's really pretty reasonable.

Right back atcha' Mike! A little known fact: I was born and raised in Newburgh NY so we have that in common too!
