Gallup Poll - Pres. Obama averaged 44.7% job approval during the 7th Qtr. of his Presidency. His approval has declined each Qtr. since he took office. Approval has fallen more than 2% points this Qtr. to establish a new low.

Gallup tracked surveys July 20th - Oct. 19th & interviewed more than 90,000 Americans. During the 7th Qtr. he established a new 3 day low average of 41% approval.

Implication: Midterm elections are less than 2 weeks away. When a President's approval rating is less than 50% (which Obama's is), an average of 36 House seats are lost.

Wonder who these 44% who approve are?

If we do not get a Republican congress in the upcoming election, we may go to the point of no return on the Obama socialist reconstruction of America.

If Obama gets his way - the USA will follow the European model. Just read yesterday that the UK is so broke (socialist model) - they are laying off 500,000 govt. employees!!!!

Go Obama!!! Get after that change!!!! LOL!!

I voted for President Obama and I think he has done a remarkable job by making tough decisions to bring our country back from the brink of a financial disaster.

I would suggest that some on this forum learn how to change the channel from Fox (not the real) News to something more fair and balanced.
Considering that the foreigner Murdock has donated 2.25 million dollars to the Republican party should be a clue that Fox is the mouthpiece of the Republican Party.

Consider that some of the Republican Party's biggest donors are Corporations who have shipped their jobs overseas and still want the tax breaks that are presently in the USA.

Consider that the Republicans wouldn't let the bill that would have stopped us from subsidizing these companies with our tax dollars even come up for a vote should be enough to prove to you who the Republican party really watches out for.

Stop believing the rhetoric, do some research of your own.
A great place to start would be Factcheck.org NOT .com.

They bust both party's balls.

Both parties have blood on their hands....and the arrogance to point to the other man's blood as an excuse for theirs.

Regarding your point on Corp Taxes.
Please look into the Google Tax Evasion. As a company they were the 5th largest contributor to Obama. As we know,Obama wants everybody to pay their fair share, he gets in bed with Google andaccepts money from a company who also wants to promote the Share the Wealth agenda, thenGoogle tries to hide their earnings from being taxed. It's a Classic example of the Socialist Democrat Elitism we've come to know and love.
My friend, maybeyou should turnon Fox News once in a while and stop being spoon fed socialist/liberal propaganda.

It's funny - and predictable - your knee jerk leftist reaction is to attack Fox News. If you look @ the source of this Polling information - it came from "Gallup." It has NOTHING to do with Fox News. But you go off on your talking points rant -

#1 Attacking a news source that has NOTHING to do with this polling data.

#2 Attacking people who watch Fox News - even though they & Fox News have NOTHING to do with the polling data. Gallup is fiercely independent.

#3 Ha-ha!!! This is really sweet. You launch into a "talking points" attack against the Republican Party - that has NOTHING to do with the Gallup Polling data!!! What are you talking about??? Ha-ha!! LOL!! The Republicans can block & stop NOTHING!!! The Democrats can steam roll anything through both the House & the Senate in the blink of an eye - if they can ever agree on anything!!

#4 Talk about corporate dollars!! From the "Center for Responsive Politics" (Note: not Fox News!!) 66% of CORPORATE dollars from the "Computer & Internet" industries have donated to the Democratic Party. Hmmm ..... interesting. Of the Top 10 recipients of corporate money - the Top 9 are Democrat!! Your talking point anti Republican rhetoric rings hollow!! It's tired old propaganda.

Look @ Google. In the USA where Corporations pay an average of 25% income tax -
Google - they pay 2.4% tax!!!! They have kept an additional $60 billion for themselves & away from the govt. Wow!! Interestingly - Google donates 75% of it's political contributions to ......... Democrats!!!!

Mark,
I don't get what this statement gets anyone? Bad decisions are one thing. Even following bad advise is forgiveable.
What's been going on here for the last 18 months is VERY different. Straight up LOOTING the Treasury, and stripping people of the right to make there own choices, IS NOT FORGIVEABLE to me.
I don't haveANY PROBLEMwith ANYONE holding my party accountable for it's sins. But I WILL NOT go quietly into Eurpean Socialism.
My problem with your statement, is that many use it as an excuse to do nothing. Then pass the blame for the consequencesof there inactionto everyone else. We are IN this position today because of just this kind of failure to engage.
I believe we are just two years from the point of no return. If Obamacare isn't repealed, then your Grand Kids and mine will be living in a WesternEurpoean Socialist society. This is totally unacceptable for me. And frankly this kind of "Oh well, both parties do it" pisses me off.
BOTH Parties are not raising your taxes to enslave us to the state. BOTH partiesARE NOT telling you that you MUST PAY for the eductaion and Healthcare of people living in your State, that HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE THERE!
Come on man. You're better than this.

Shawn,

Your post insinuates that independents don't engage.....you don't come right out and say it, but that is the message you are really sending. I am VERY engaged.....I talk with my elected officials. I hold them accountable. I vote in every election. I use my personal abilities to persuade others to think for themselves. To ask the questions that are not being asked. To "listen to what is NOT being said".

My comment about "blood on the hands" is in reference to the corruption in our government and that BOTH parties partake in this corruption as a means to HOLD AND CONTROL POWER.

What I DON'T see are Democrats and Republicans wanting to have conversations about how and why their opinions/decisions will work.....I see 99% of all conversations being spent on personal attacks and scheming to hold and control power.

What I also see are educated "readers" repeating what others tell them. The simple fact that Rush Limbaugh's fans call themselves "dittoheads" is the most comical insult I have ever seen people give to themselves.....how can people be so stupid that they don't even realize they are insulting their own intelligence and independent thought.

I understand world economics and the US business model better than probably 98-99% of the citizens and that is why I am pro-business and pro-capitalism. Socially, I am much more liberal than 90% of Republicans. I understand there has to be a balance between social rights, big brother, and defending our Nation. I understand there has to be a balance between profits, and jobs, and the environment.

I will not follow a party. I won't do it. Never will happen as long as I breathe air on this earth. I will ask the difficult questions. I will be active in my community.....and I WILL NOT give in to corruption.....and I certainly will not do it as a means to defeat the corruption of another.

Political parties, by Human Nature are, or will become corrupted by their need to gain power, or to hold onto power.

Shawn,

We may differ on certain things, but I can see by your last post that you and I are on the same page when we write......and that is a complete understanding that "what we write" and what we say matters.

1) Business are going over seas because of the punitive taxes we put on them, the tyrannical regulations (EPA for one) that they have to contend with and the corrupt unions that price us out of competition for produced goods.

2) Government gets its power from the people, literally. When the government decided to act on a topic, it TAKES freedom away from the people and uses FORCE to deploy their choice. Bigger government = less freedom. I reserve the freedom to fail and I only ask that government stop looking out for my best interest and stop trying to make my choices for me. Remember Brave Heart!!!

3) Ditto head doesn't mean that you blindly follow Rush or anyone else. The term came from people releaved to hear from someone outside of mainstream leftist media that made sense. People called in saying "thank you for all of the information you are presenting. You are a breath of fresh air." and the next person would say "Ditto what that last guy said". An informed people is the greatest threat to a Tyrannical government. The reason people hate Fox news and Rush is because they broke the monopoly on the media and the people had the choice to not be spoon fed big government crap any longer. The left only loves choice when it comes to killing the unborn.

It seems that I am the only Democrat on this board.
I am up to the task.

As to the Socialist French.
They are raising the minimum retirement age from 60 to 62.
Right now you have to have paid into their retirement fund for 40 and 1/2 years in order to take advantage of their early retirement.
40 years!

We only have to pay into Social Security for 10 years. (40 quarters)

The young in France are rioting right now because if the older workers work additional years, there will be less jobs available to them.

The evil EPA.

WOW!

I hate clean air and water.
I would much rather wear a face mask while outside like they do in China, and Mexico City.
I was born in Cleveland.
Home of the RIVER THAT CAUGHT ON FIRE!

Please, your irrational.

Businesses move overseas in order to pay $4-8 per day rather than $8 per hour.

Right now they get some obscene tax break for doing so.

The National Chamber Of Commerce gets donations from foreign States in order to have access to our companies and try to convince them to move their businesses to their countries.

Some forum members don't seem to have a handle on how the Senate works.

Even though one party may have more than 50% of the vote that doesn't mean that they can ram anything they want through.

There are things called "holds" where even just ONE Senator can keep something from coming up for discussion or vote.
Then there is also this thing called a filibuster that can happen when one party doesn't have 60% of the vote.

The House of Representatives passed over 300 more bills than the Senate because of these rules.

In closing;
Glen Beck is the Anti-Christ
