How well do the wesco controllers work versus a power commander pcv?

Maximus. For a Vic there’s nothing better.

Depends on what you’re asking the tool to do. If all you need to do is add a little fuel to optimize the a/f ratio after an exhaust swap or a filter upgrade, the wiseco-doebeck-VFCIII style controllers work just fine. If you’re maximizing performance, the more expensive controllers do offer more adjustability, to a/f ratios, to timing, and to each cylinder individually.

So my advice is it depends. If you want loud pipes, or you want the bike to run smoother or a few degrees cooler, great time to look at a VFC. But if you’re after more power, go with a PC-V or Maximus.

The maximus can do it all. Whether you just want to run a cooler smoother bike or add Cam’s intake and exhaust it’s there and can be tuned and re-tuned. Why do it twice because we all know most of us are never satisfied with stock performance.

PCV with timing wheel or Maximus is going to be your best bet. Since you are starting from scratch, I’d suggest the Maximus.

even if you say to yourself “I’m only going to add some exhaust...and maybe an air filter”. Soon that turns into also adding a top filter (a mighty advantage our Visions have) and cams. Those will require one of the two controllers above...VFC will not be able to handle that.

The tuner just makes the bike run better. I don't have cams on my 13 but do have pipes, both filters, and a timing wheel. The tuner really smoothed things out and reduced the well known Victory pops.

    I concur with his suggestion.

Noe can also load one of his tunes in the Maximus. I highly recommend you call Noe before you buy a Maximus. Noe can sell you a licensed tune...
