Looks like the Air Force is looking into small lightweight attack aircraft to replace the A-10 Thunderbolt (Warthog). They are looking at 3 aircraft 2 turboprops and a small jet. The small jet and one of the prop planes are from Textron- the same Textron that bought Arctic Cat a few months ago. Be interesting to see what the Air Force comes up with. Is the prop tech good enough for modern warfare, or are the foreign air forces so bad we don't need to spend as much coin on jet tech? Is this a move in the wrong direction or the right way to go? The A-10 has been around for decades but hadn't seen real combat until the middle east. It proved in combat what the Air Force said all along, if you're on the ground, your last thought is "OH SH!T !"
