brand new here, have 2014 highball with aftermarket swept pipes. Why has no one tried to cut exhaust and basically fake the gp’s? Seems like your options are the nasty radiant slip ons with a huge space between pipes or spend the big $$ for the real deal.

Take it easy on me haha

Cheers

People have tried. You can DIY really loud pipes that lose power or you can buy something with header steps and baffles designed to increase power that also happen to be louder. When it comes to my bike, if it's going to sound faster it damn well better be faster.

Seen a lot over the years. Some look bad, some look really bad. The cliche’ “you get what you pay for” generally holds true. But I do love messing with sh*t to see what I can come up with. My advice would be to buy, prepare to buy, or save up to buy the Ground Pounders from Conquest. We know beyond all doubt that you get the trifecta, top notch quality, sound, looks, and performance. Then when you’re about to pull the trigger on those, have a ball cutting up your Swepts and see what you can come up with. There’s always a chance you hit a home run, but odds are on a strike out. If so pull the trigger on the GP’s. No matter what you get to have some fun and end up happy with the result.
