Just bought a bike. It has a different gas cap on it and I cant get it off. Still on the way home. Can anyone help me? Attached is a pic.

Use a screwdriver or something that can fit in the wedges and tap with hammer, rock... Good luck brother...

Get something rubberized you can press on top of it for a better grip. A tacky riding glove may work.

Sorry I didn't answer back. We got it, filled up and got back on the road. Must have gotten put on tight plus possible pressure from the gas.
Another guy at the gas station tried to help and couldn't get it either. We ended up putting a rag around a piece of wood and tapping it free.

Mine doesn't stick at all, anytime at all..... I just lift the flap, insert the provided key and voila it opens up..... :angel4:

I think this one falls under how many guys does it take to unscrew a gas cap.

That cap by the way is the best one ever made IMO.

@datastream , If it's possible track down the previous owner it would be nice to have the original keyed gas cap assembly just in case you ever need it.
