Made the swap today on My 06 Hammer to the 31 tooth pulley and will need a shorter drive belt. Am told the Buell 1125R belt is the way to go. Is there a preferred source to order this item from? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was just thinking... I was told the belt doesn't work on wide-tire bikes. The tire will rub the swingarm.

Correct, the shorter belt will make the tire rub the swingarm, ONLY ON wide tire vic's

I slotted the swingarm holes, easy job

As a past Buell owner New Castle HD is great to deal with. And aftermarket Buell belts are junk, only buy oem.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm taking that you had to grind out some material in the adjustment slot. About how much?

Yes i needed 3 mm if i remember correctly, i drawn the slot real nice and did a pencil grinder first within the lines then got a long round file, that filed trough both slotholes, so everything stayed straight

It was easy enough job, and you have the axel to check all the time while you file the last material away ...

YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW BELT WITH OUR UDP

if you dont have enough tension after install .. just take a regular sharpie, follow the curve on the REAR axle slot (both sides) and take a round file or dremel and file/grind away the thickness of that sharpie line. (about 3-4 mm im guessing) ... at that point you should have enough room to correctly tension / align the STOCK belt. ive been at conquest customs for a decade and have done this install with ZERO problems. save yourself some money, no new belt needed. period.
