Did a search and could not find a post that had my exact kind of issue.
Recently purchased the bike which is a 2006 Vegas 8-ball, bike sat for 2 years under a cover.
Bike runs but was obviously running lean, with a miss/stumble in the midrange, Will even stall during a down shift. Confirmed lean condition by the condition of spark plugs which were grey and dry. Changed out fuel for new clean fuel. Cleaned throttle body, inspected TB adapter and vacuum plugs, plugs were 100% gone, boot was cracked, replaced them all, bike still doesn't run right. Checked fuel pressure. Pressure jumps up to 48-49 for a split second falls down, and then once the pump cycles off pressure instantly drops to 0 maintaining no standing pressure. With bike running pressure was around 46-47. Gauge is hooked up tight with no leaks. No visible leaks anywhere on the bike.
Obviously I know these pressures are on the low side. What concerns me is the instant pressure drop off once pump shuts off. Anyone have a similar issue? I emailed the vicshop this evening, but as I sit here tonight curiosity is getting to me.
