NOTE: Commercial precedes the News Story:

This was on Chicago ABC news yesterday...listen to the amount of money this guy was behind...it appears that only the Suzuki products were picked up...gotta believe his other lines are owed on also.

That is a sad story.

40 years in the business, you know they did something right.

Here's what struck me as strange:

The Dealer was behind $190K and states he's attempted to work out a payment plan. Considering nearly 200 Motorcycles, ATVs and Personal Watercraft were repossessed, it seems that it would be in the various factories best interest to attempt to work with this Dealer.

The story does state this Dealer was one of the original Yamaha dealerships in the city and that both Yamaha and Suzuki products were removed. It also states that this Dealership has been around for 43 years. It appears they have not closed and still sell Kawasaki, parts and offer service.

But as always, there's three sides to every story. It does however address the hard facts that even established Dealers are facing tough times these days.

In other Chicago area "news"..
Chicago Sports and Cycle in Midlothian, IL.has notified all companies Honda, Kawa. Suzuki and Yamaha that they are no longer in business to sell bikes. They are going to be a service and aftermarket parts seller only.
(above 2 stories grabbed from another "local Chicago" bike site, Chicagolandcruisers.com )
