OK I finally got around to getting this sweet piece of Bike Jewelry installed, took around 30 minutes plus or minus a few. Here's the final look :)

Just rode it this morning for the first time since doing this mod and I can't believe how much nicer/more positive the bike shifts! Between the much stiffer Billet linkage and the larger Heim joints it makes a noticeable much more positive shifting experience :)

I sorta, kinda did the same thing with the Vegas only I made mine (with a little help from one of the machinest's I work with in the shop).I scrounged and founda block of T6 aluminum in the scrap metal bin out by the tooling deptthen traced out the lettering that I wanted. I used the bridgeport milling machine to do some of the easymilling then turned it over to my machinest bud to do what he could. He was able to remove allot of the metal but couldn't millout the rest of it with the bits that we had as the lettering was really close together. Brought it homechucked upaDremel tool in a router base and finished the lettering. Took it back to work drilled, threaded and installedthe ends afteracquiring some used rod ends from the shop that replaces tie rod ends.I used a 'Tramel Bar'rigging toolto set the rod ends to exactly matchthe original tie rod installed and after the final adjustments and running down the jam nuts Itook to the paint shop for the black epoxy paint. Final step was to the buffer after the paint driedfor some serious polishing.Got it all shined up as best as I could theninstalled it on my UGA themed Victory. I too noticed a HUGE difference in the way it shifts plus itadds a great look to the bike.I think if you guys splurge for one you won't be disappointed.

They look great!!!! I have had them on a couple of my bikes. A tad confused on why they would shift better. The only thing I could think of is that they were not adjusted right the first time. NICE BLING!!!!

Only thing I can figure as to why it shifts better is that the linkage is beefier and hasZERO flex as comapared to a 3/16"- 1/4 inch rod that comes from the factory.

I agree, the linkage itself is totally rigid and the optional chrome Heim joints are much larger/beefier. When I pull up on that shift lever now it's a very positive feel, I think the stock setup is too flimsy.

How long did it take you to receive your linkage? I have had one ordered for a month, and it hasn't shown up yet. Looks llike it's definitely worth the wait!
