I own a 2008 Vegas. It's the best bike I've ever owned. Just took it on a PA - Key West - PA trip. Ran flawlessly and was a great ride. I'll keep the Vegas for local riding but obviously it's not the best bike for long distance riding. I am interested in the Cross bikes for more comfort, cruise, more fuel, more storage, etc. Thought I wanted a Cross Country but in doing some searching, I've got a line on a nice Cross Roads Classic and it's starting to grow on me. I realize a lot of it is subjective but I'd be interested in hearing any/all opinions as I try to make a choice. Cheers

Hi, I have the Cross Roads with the Victory Batwing faring . I have ridden both cross bikes. They feel the same. Wind management is the issue with these bikes. The wind shield on the Classic is probably the best. The only thing the Cross Country has are the bell and whistles stereo system over the Cross Roads. You can buy after market that's better. Many Cross Country owners upgrade anyway. I find my CR a very good ride in town and on long trips. Good luck.

I have a Cross Country and love it. I think the bags on the CC may be slightly larger but I'm not sure about that. If you don't care about a radio I think it's a toss up and then the best deal wins. I will say this though.... I just bought a used Vision Tour Premium..... Do yourself a favor and ride a Vision...it's an even better ride. You're not far from me and I know where there is a killer deal on a low mileage Vision in gorgeous condition.

I agree . I thought no way I would ever get a Vision. One day while my Ducati was being serviced I took a ride to a Local Victory dealer out of curiosity . What the heck are all these crazy people talking about this weird looking bike called a Vision.? They let me ride it it? Same day I went back to pick up my Diavel and traded it in on a 14 Vision tour. As of today the longest bike I have kept. It’s a heck of a bike.

I took my XC to KW. (3k in 7 days ) last year. I was missing my Vision when it was time to head home. The cross bikes are smoother than the Vegas. But the VISION is the better touring bike to me.

    Thanks Mike ,
I've been trying to ignore that one since I got the notification. That silver is sharp.

I never thought I would own one either.. the looks were just not my thing. Then I rode 425 ,miles in one day with my wife on the back of nmy CC on a trip. The Vision got a wee bit better looking. Then I rode one... Game over... Had to have one. I should be done personalizing mine by the end of next week.... Waiting for some items to arrive. I've only owned it a couple of weeks but I love the ride.

I don't know the owner but my friend lives near the seller. I've been trying to get my friend to go look at it. He wants it but can't pull the trigger (wife!).

Tell him to put his wife on it. I took my wife for a ride on one... She talked me into making an offer on the one I have now.

Yeah we did. My apologies! We'll make it up to him once he gets his Vision. We'll all take a Vision ride and treat him to lunch!

I've had a CR and currently ride a CCT. I really liked the CR and rode it all over on many long distance trips. I've also taken the CCT through several states. I prefer the CCT because of the top trunk, hard lowers, and has a wider heated seat.
