Dude, you are risking an “peaceful” Protest with your tent getting burnt... never mind they don’t have matches...

They did not know the risk that they would be chocked to death or shot for being a minor criminal. The last thing they thought for doing a misdemeanor was the police would kill them for it. Misdemeanors are not capitol offences. Petty criminals and drunks don't want to fight the police they just want to get away. They are fighting to run away in almost every case.

And in their wildest dreams, yes dreams, they didn't think the police would smash their front door and shoot them dead when they actually had the real perpetrator in custody.

I don't know the answer to this, maybe its a mix. Are these incidents increasing in frequency or has the fact everybody has a camera and body cameras just bringing it into the light and its always happened?

I don't think they exist anymore but the term throw away piece was a common term 50-60 years ago. Because shooting unarmed folks 50 years ago was an absolute "oh crap" moment.

I hear that Sentiment and have heard it when friends of mine have been killed. It usually comes from family members. They say, "He knew the risk but wanted to make a difference".

Like the recent incident of the two shot in their car by the coward. Nobody is saying that. Barbaric acts against our police are horrible events. Its a different thought altogether from police conduct and dead people due to horrible police tactics or simple incompetence.

That is quite an assumption that you know the mindset of criminal individuals throughout their day. how else can you make the statement that these people didn’t know the risk, including death for their actions?

How many “Victims of police violence” were resisting which escalated force to control the perpetrator both for their safety as well as the law enforcement involved?

How many of these individuals have seen and heard of every news story, like you and I have, depicting someone resisting the police and it not ending well for them?

It is a no brainer that only bad things are going to happen when a Suspect resists the police during an investigation or arrest. One or both the perpetrator and/or the law enforcement officer will be hurt or killed.

that begs the question, why do it? Especially when you already know the potential outcome?

Using force against a lawful arrest or detainment is a lose/ lose. Don’t be a loser

When I was a kid growing up in rural Missouri it was common knowledge that if you ran from the cops they would shoot you in back and if you fought with them they would beat the sh--t out of you. Was it legal, probably not, was it accepted, for the most part yes. My buddy got drunk and fought with the cops at a Denny's at 3 in the morning and they beat him like a dog, into the ground with their billy clubs. He deserved it. He was being an Ass. He said he felt like a nail and every time they hit him, it drove him a little closer to the ground.

It looks like many communities, parents, uncles are not teaching these simple rules to their kids any more. If you grew up knowing these simple rules it makes it hard to be sympathetic with the violators.

Did he ever do it again? I'm thinking it learned him real quick not to.

I think to sum up what you said it's actions have consequences. Now days they aren't believed to by many so nobody is being held accountable. It's never the little criminals fault in today's world. How else does anybody take a stand for a turd like blakee? Sex assault, theft, Auto Theft, violating a restraining order, fighting the police, have a knife........ Victim!?! Nope, he's a turd and needs to be flushed.
