I don't know if everyone has seen these videos or not, but someone on BurgmanUSA posted them and I thought some of you would like to see them.

I've seen these. They are partially responsible for me buying a Victory. If the info is all true, wow, why would anyone buy a hd after view them?

The Vic is clearly the better engineered bike. That said, there are A LOT of folks out there for whom superior engineering fails to elicit orgasm...

Polaris is poised for alot of growth in the market. I think the American public is ripe for some change.

I have seen quite a few Electra Glides being traded in for the Cross Country Tour/Cross Country/Cross Roads and Vision as of late so word must be getting around.

The more they sell the more they will sell. There are just not enough Vics on the road or at the bike nights yet. I believe they are taking most of their customers from Japan Inc. It would be nice to get them from the motor company. That would push HD to much more R&D making a better machine race. Everybody wins with competition.

I agree, these videos are the very ones that put me over the top on buying a Victory. I was looking at a Road King and Cross Roads. While I would not have bought a Victory when they first came out as the risk would be too high, now, they have built an engine that uses all the latest proven technology without all the legacy problems that a Harley has. They built an engine that is rock solid where Harley engines are focused on sound, idle vibration (a feature not a flaw) and building an engine that is cheap and sells. Pull that engine apart and it wins... every time.

Agree all the way around yet there's still something the HD has the Vic doesn't and it's hard to define but mainly it's the visceral feel and sound that touches us somewhere the Vic comes close to but doesn't quite get there. I love both brands and count on my Vic for reliability and longevity. The HD is just a local run around town bike to scratch that visceral itch. :whistling:

Harley without a doubt has the better sound and a much wider variety of T-shirts...and yes, there is something about the sound.

Lies, all Lies.......LOL Vic does make a solid motor, I'll give them credit for that. HD needs to take a page from them to deal with their Pinging issues, (oil/air cooling) But Vic needs some lessons on Fuel management to clean up the backfiring, stalling and hard starting in cold weather.
