    I respect your opinion. I just don’t agree 100%.

It seems to be pretty normal for behaviors outside our own moral compasses or codes to be offensive.
Sometimes that is a good thing because as much as we like to think we as individuals are right, we aren’t always. There was this one time in 89 where I wasn’t.

    I get it.
I’m sure we all understand we are highly unlikely to change each other’s stances on that issue. Live and let live.
I’m choosing to live without pro sports and it has had a positive impact on my life. To each their own.

As far as the Olympics, I’m a wrestling fan so that is my primary focus of the Summer games.

I would much more prefer Guard Dogs. .....I guess it is out of favor to show tribute to groups of people of the past by naming a team after them as that is what it was to show honor or toughness that these people had. Nothing at all racist and actually the furthest thing from it.

On a personal level, I share your position. I also don’t think it’s somehow invalidates my own sense of self to try and walk a mile in another man’s shoes either, which in this case is try to see someone else’s point of view. So imagine had the Nazi’s won WWII (which seems like maybe they did when we let them march on our streets but I digress). So imagine a hundred years after the Germans conquered America they name their soccer teams names like “Jarheads” “Leathernecks” or “ Carrier Pigeons” complete with cartoonish mascots mimicking American GI’s in goofy half time shows. The decedents of WWII vets might say that’s disrespectful even if the German soccer fans don’t think so or intend it to be so right?

Regardless, I refuse to play victim. These things only offend me if I let them. So I don’t. Not with things like sports anyway. Nazis marching in our streets and our Capital being attacked, those things seems exceptionally disrespectful to the men who fought and died to create and defend this country. So yeah, I guess I’m a little offended too after all.

We can finally stop using, "native american indians" as that's offensive too. Actually Native american is a false claim too. They migrated here just like everyone else.

I only hate it because it’s not stupid enough. I think the best team names in sports are found with minor league baseball teams. I think the “Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp” the “El Paso Chihuahuas” or the “New Orleans Baby Cakes” are so stupid they’re fun. Sports are games, games are supposed to be fun. They should change the name to The Poison Guppies or something like that.

For some it was a good thing. Not so for others.
    But that’s just my opinion

Isn't there a motorcycle that was and is called "INDIAN" Maybe they should give back the money they spent and change to " Not Victory"?

Since the majority of what offends us comes over media, the great thing is you can turn it off, change the channel, don’t click on it or just ignore it.
