It's lacking one thing the CVO has. The motor. Either 110 or 114 is an upgrade and part of the cost. What does the elite have that justifies $8k more than a standard Chieftain.

Too much bling. I like simple American Muscle and performance.

Your correct in that it is lacking an upgraded motor compared to the CVO. Keep in mind this bike is still over 6K cheaper than a street glide CVO. CVO comes with lowers, better stereo. Cheiftan has power windshield, chrome rear boards. There are of course a few other small differences between the 2 bikes but I would agree the 111 motor is inferior to the 114 stock to stock.

Is it my imagination or is that a really height challenged reviewer , he makes the bike look full sized.

The 1st thing I would do is swap out that "common" Harley front fender for a real Indian fender.

I think the new fender is intended to appeal to those not fond of the early 1900's retro look.

Respectfully disagree. I like to be different and the valance, along with the rounded hard bags & fairing, make the Indian stand out. The "new" style Chief'glide looks too Harley'ish for me but on the positive side, the more choices the better.

Indians were always Indians. Generation after generation they stayed true to the style that is only Indian.
Today ! Polarass sees fit to still make them with the Indian style we are all accustomed to. Clearly with the new Chief Glide and now the new Road Chief they are after the HD guy that’s tired of today’s HD crap. If they (Polarass) ever kill the nostalgic look and keep with the copy cat style of an HD then they too in time should be on the loosing sales band wagon and bow to the king that is Harley Davidson.
