It is held on with a snap ring at the end of the pivot shaft. But I would have your dealer install it if you are not comfortable with torque specs and tolerances. Brake and shift levers are too important to get it wrong.
I"m getting an XC within a week or so. I NEED the heel / toe shifter badly as I have short legs and really have to extend my boot to shift.
I've been driving an XR. I just got back from a 350 mile trip.
I'm not sure if its just the bike, but I've developed an extremely sore shin muscle.
I assume the dealer knows what to give me?
Is this made FOR the Cross bikes? Or is it from a Vision??
It fits both Visionand Cross bikes. Foot controls on Visions and Cross bikes are adjustable to three positions. They come fromVictoryin the middle position. Have your dealer pull the controls back to the rearmost position for you.
I ended up putting the heel toe shifter on myself.
It was a little bit challenging but I am very much pleased with the result.
It is easy to adjust the controls to different positions.
In your case the rearward position will be the way to go.
At least there is an adjustment to be made...
Many bikes do not have that option.
