I would love to all the above ! But as was spoken by a poster this morning who just went back to HD parts and upgrades here in Canada are about double the price that you have quoted on Vic stuff. If you think about it as the dollar is close to par someone is pushing something soft and pink into our left ears . I dont know if its the dealers or Victory , it don't matter it still all wrong.
Poptop,
I have heard this from a few Canadians that are on this site and figured I wouldnt hijack another thread.
Insome previous post I read I have seen people state that they are paying 30-50% more for parts North of the border. But when I go tothe Polaris site most items are showing a 5% increase (I have not checked all). Has anyone ever asked their dealer why they are charging so much more? and if they are why dont you just order it off the Victory site? I am all for supporting my local dealer but I am still not going to pay him over MSRP.

So to clarify, they advertise Canadian prices but if you go to order you can't?
So now you have to figure out who is screwing you on these parts. Has anyone point blank asked the dealer why a part advertised as $100cd is costing 120cd? or better yet since most of you guys are over 7' (except Spider he is the runt) have you cornered your factory rep and politely asked him?

So far prices have been MSRP quoted but the pain is, the difference in price US to CDN for the same price, It just doesnt cost that much difference in the dollar and shipping cost.
HD has been slamming us with hug price differences for no reason as well as on parts. No wonder most of order from Zanotti's for HD and other places as long as its shipped USPS. If you ship UPS there goes the savings..they are crooks for brokerage fees.

Now that is just stupid. They advertise canadian prices but don't sell them?
We can place an order through our dealers web sight, in the end no savings.

It's not just Vic accesories either. Tires are a rip off as well, but order one out of the states and get it shipped we loose the savings.
These companies know what they are doing and with their jacked up prices, even if 25% of us go to the states and pick up accesories, they still make enough profit to keep themselves in buisness.
Even Vic [email protected]@K's us over on the prices of the bikes. We pay 12-16% more for the bike.
Also don't get me started on shop rates up here.

I have a 2011 catalog there is a ladies white leather jacket listed at $269.99, I have seen it up here at $ 500.00 Canadian catalog price. When I pick up a CDN catalog I'll post some prices.

That ain't right. The exchange rate is not that much different and shipping is nominal. Can i be your canadian parts supplier?

And if you mark it as a gift and keep the price low enough on the invoice we won't even have to pay GST (gouge & screw tax). I feel for the boys that have the HST.

Here is another comparison. We pay $70-$75 for an oil change kit. I've seen alot of you guys getting them for $55 to $60.

Oil is touchy, very expensive to ship even here. But that jacket is ridiculous.
I agree but when a dealer orders in a pallet or 2 of oil at a time it shouldn't cost 20-30% more just for shipping.

I got tired of the pricing from my dealer too. I truely want to support my dealer, but they are over pricing accessories. I now cross the border to the next local dealer, and buy my stuff, including oil change kits. Also I now by my accessories from from 3rd party venders. I just bought the Conquest customs signature derby covers, at pretty much the cost of buying a vic cover, plus it looks way better. And for the rest of my chrome accessories, Whichdoctor here I come.
So screw vic, and the dealer. They got my money for the bike, and I only need them for warranty work. The 3rd party venders need love too.
Just my 0.02 on this subject.

I did the same thing, backrest from Utopia (about 150 cheaper) and bag liners from TLC (60 instead of 200) for my XR. I changed my rear tire early in Maine as it was cheaperto get the tire change andbuy a set of Victory riding gloves and a t-shirt there then just a tire change up here.
